B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2028
4.2
5Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
A pretty good college with some fixable issues and great committee culture.
Placements: The placements of VJTI go neck to neck with most of the NITs and a few IITs. It is the factor that attracts most of the students. Computer Engineering provides an average package of 20 LPA. On the other hand, branches like IT, EXTC, and Electronics provide an average package of 15, 13, and 12 LPA, respectively. The top recruiting companies are: Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, ICICI Bank, etc. The highest package in 2024 was 57 LPA. The lowest placement is generally between 6-12 LPA. The highest internship stipend was 5.9L. There were 400+ internship offers. There were 27+ selections in Google.
Infrastructure: Since the college is over 100 years old, the infrastructure is not a strong point of the college, with CS, Textile, and IT departments being an exception. Yes, VJTI does provide hostel facilities for students, although not all students get the hostels. In other words, rooms are given on the basis of the merit list of the competitive exam during the time of admission. There are 2 hostels for B.Tech and Diploma, for both boys and girls. In addition, there is 1 hostel for M.Tech students. The M.Tech hostels are amazing, with facilities like geysers, cleaner washrooms, balconies, and lifts.
Faculty: Most of the faculty is good enough, but you will face some problems with a few facilities. This is true for every branch in the college. Most of the teachers provide useful notes and are very experienced. The HOD is very interactive with the students. They listen to and resolve the issues accordingly.
Other: I chose VJTI since it is the best college you can get through MHT CET. Events, fests, and the campus crowd are the best parts of the college.

Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai.
Placements: Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute is famous for its placements. In 2023, the average package for tech branches was about 19.6 Lacs per annum and for circuital and other branches, it was around 11-12 Lacs per annum with a total average placement rate of 82 percent. The highest package offered was 57 Lacs per annum in the tech branch. The top recruiters were DE SHAW, Amazon, LinkedIn, KPMG, etc.
Infrastructure: VJTI was situated in 1887 and it is a government college. You cannot expect more from the infrastructure, as the buildings are old, but the college has all the necessary labs and clubs. VJTI also has a committee called SRA (Society of Robotics and Automation) where people who are interested in robotics and related fields can join and try it. VJTI has 2 main grounds, a volleyball court, a basketball court, and a gymkhana where you can hang out with your friends and play games like carrom, TT, chess, etc. in your free time. It also has a canteen in the college where you can chill with friends.
Faculty: VJTI has one of the best faculties who connect with the students and try to understand them. It also has courses like IKS and CC for character development and for making students confident and industry-ready. In VJTI, there is relative grading, so students don't have to take more stress.
Other: If you want to join the college, you should definitely go for it. You will not regret it. The college is very fun, except for studies. There are fests like Pratibimba, Technonza, and Rangavardhan where students enjoy. Many celebrities are invited, and many more.

Do not take admission in this college.
Placements: About 70% of students were placed, and the placement percentage depended on the branch of study. The lowest salary package was 6 LPA, the highest was 36 LPA, and the average was 15 LPA. Only 4 or 5 companies recruited for my course, and most students were placed in software-based companies like Texas Instruments. Technical roles were offered mostly for B.Tech courses, but sometimes management roles were available.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for the course/department, such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library, are very poor. The quality of the facilities in the hostel, the quality of the food available in the mess and canteen, the medical facilities, and the sports and games are all very poor.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, but most of them had poor knowledge of the subject matter. The syllabus was outdated, but the students were industry-ready due to their own hard work and persistence. The placement rate was good, but the papers for some subjects were very difficult and application-based. Only two or three subjects had faculty with PhD degrees; the others were not qualified. The pass percentage was 40%.

VJTI: The most underrated institute for engineering.
Placements: The students who were placed in my senior batches were around 50% till now. What I have heard and seen, I'll be passing out till 2027. We still have our internships which are due in the third year of internships in my course. Till now, nobody is doing them. Next year, what I've seen from my seniors is that the lowest package was 18,000.
Infrastructure: Facilities which are available in my course department are computers for CAD, CAM, laboratory, and just benches, fans, and ACs. A decent atmosphere to study is also available. The infrastructure could be a little bit better because the quality of the furniture is not good. There are enough screens and a projector set up for e-learning also.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful; they provide a lot of good insights into what the curriculum actually is. The students are made industry relevant by the course because it has been updated by the NEP 2020 policy. Semester exams are as tough as any other engineering course.
Other: The canteen is decent, but the infrastructure could be a little better. The feels are also pretty low, and overall, it's a good college to study in.

Good placements, facilities, and faculty members.
Placements: 90-plus percent of students get placed, and the highest placement package is 53 lakhs, and the lowest is almost 10 lakhs. Siemens and Google UPI are the top recruiters. Students who got more than 9 points in every semester got big companies like Microsoft; every company chose good and hardworking students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and libraries are good quality; hostels are also good, and canteen food is good. Facilities provided to hostels are also good. The medical staff and facilities are so good in our department that faculty members help students to know the new things in college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful to students; they are highly educated. Semester exams are good; sometimes tough and sometimes easier for mid-semester 30 marks test and passing 8, and for end semester is 70 marks and passing 24. We get an internship for 6 months; students learn how to work in companies.
Other: I chose a mechanical diploma. A good thing about that course is it will help my future career. Everything is fine, but we need AC classrooms. Events, and fests are good.
