A: The NIFT entrance exam are held in the second week of February every year. The forms are out by the month of November and the last date is usually in the month of January. The exam consist of two levels. The first level consist of CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test) which generally test your IQ and basic drawing skills. It is a written test. After clearing the first level, the second level is the Situation Test where one is given 14-15 materials and is asked to make a 3D model. Clearing all the two level one gets a rank with which he/she can sit for NIFT counselling and get through.
