UCEED Admit Card 2025 - IIT Bombay will release admit cards for the UCEED 2025 exam on January 3, 2025. The direct link to download the admit card will be given below. 

To download the admit card, log in to the portal using your email ID and password. 

Hard copies of the admit card will not be sent to the candidate.

Discrepancies in the admit card, if any, must be rectified within the given deadline.  Also, if you face any difficulty in downloading the admit card, immediately contact the UCEED admission via email or phone (explained in detail below).

The UCEED 2025 exam will be conducted on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon).

On exam day, you must bring a valid photo ID proof along with the admit card. The admit card will contain details like the roll number, name and address of the UCEED 2025 exam center, exam date and timings, and exam center reporting time. In addition, it will also carry exam-day guidelines. 

Note latecomers may not be allowed entry inside the UCEED exam center.

Q:   When will UCEED 2025 admit cards be released for the design entrance exam?

A:

The admit cards for the UCEED 2025 exam will be released on January 3, 2025.

Admit cards will be released for all candidates who successfully complete the application form. The admit card will be released online at uceed.iitb.ac.in. 

To download the admit card, you need to log in to the portal using your email ID and password. 

On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to bring with them a valid photo id proof and admit card.

Q:   When will the UCEED 2025 application form open?

A:

The application form for UCEED 2025 is now closed.

The last date to apply with regular fee was October 31; with late fees, applications were accepted till November 18, 2024.

IIT Bombay opened the application form for UCEED 2025 on October 1, 2024.  It also launched a new website and released the admission notification.

The candidate had the option to apply for UCEED 2025 both with regular and late fees.

UCEED application form is for admission to the B. Des programme offered by participating colleges. Candidates who met the prescribed eligibility criteria were able to apply for admission.

Q:   When will the UCEED 2025 exam be conducted?

A:

IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon). 

IIT Bombay has released the detailed admission schedule, including exam dates and application process.

The exam will be conducted in 27 cities aross India. Part A will be offline-based, while Part B will be conducted offline.

The application form commences on October 1, 2024.

How to Download UCEED Admit Card 2025

To download the UCEED 2025 admit card, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the admit card download link
  2. You will be redirected to a login window 
  3. Enter your email ID and password 
  4. The admit card will be displayed on the screen; you can download it in pdf format
  5. Download and take a printout of the admit card.

Q:   What are the exam cities where UCEED 2025 exam will be conducted?

A:

IIT Bombay will relese the updated list of UCEED 2025 exam centres through the information brochure. 

Note that in the previous edition, the UCEED exam was held in 27 cities in India.

Here is the list of exam cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulum, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Visakhapatnam, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, and Mysuru.

Note that each of the each city could have one or more exam centres. The allotment of exam centres would be done based on the exam city selected by the candidate, address, and total applicants.

Q:   At what time will the UCEED 2025 exam commence?

A:

The UCEED 2025 exam will be held tentatively in the 3rd week of January 2025, from 9 am - 12 noon

The exam date and timings will be mentioned on the UCEED 2025 admit card. On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to report at the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the admit card.  

Note that late comers may not be allowed entry inside the exam centre.

The candidate is also urged to carefully go through all the exam-day guidelines for a smooth exam-day experience.

Q:   What happens if a candidate impersonates another candidate in UCEED 2025 exam?

A:

Impersonation in the UCEED 2025 exam is not allowed. Any candidate who is found indulging in such activities will be disqualfiied. Further, criminal proceeding may also be brought against such candidates. So it is advised that candidates follow the guidelines issued by IIT Bombay for appearing in the exam. Note that in addition to impersonation, activities like cheating, disturbing other candidates during the exam, etc. Are also not allowed.

Q:   Will exam officials provide stationery to candidates in the UCEED 2025 exam centre?

A:

Exam officials will not make any arrangements for stationery items for appearing in the exam. So, it is the sole responsibility of the candidate to bring the necessary stationery. Here are the basic stationery one needs to take the UCEED 2025 exam: pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours for the examination. The candidate, however, mustnt bring any drawing sheets with them to the exam hall. It is recommended that the candidate carefully goes through the list of allowed and barred items before arriving at the UCEED 2025 exam centre.

Q:   How will the identity of the candidate be verified at UCEED 2025 exam centre?

A:

On the day of the UCEED 2025 exam, the candidate has to carry with him the admit card and a photo id proof. These documents will be used to verify the identity of the candidate. Note that both the invigilators as well as IIT representatives will be available at the exam centre to verify the identity. Any candidate who fails the identification process may not be allowed to sit in the exam. That being said exam authorities have the discretion to permit the candidate to appear for the examination after completing certain formalities. However, in such a scenario the candidate will not be allocated additional time.

Q:   Will there be a baggage counter at UCEED 2025 exam centre?

A:

IIT Bombay usually doesn't make any arrangements like baggage counters. So, it is a good idea for candidates not be bring any unnecessary stuff with them to the exam centre. Also, if the candidate has any doubts, he or she must go through the exam-day guidelines published by exam officials to check if any special arrangements are being made. Since it is unlikely that there will be a baggage counter, the candidate can not afford to bring valuable items and leave it unattended outside the exam hall. It is because if any valuable item is lost, IIT Bombay will not take any responsibility.

Q:   Can I come out of the UCEED 2025 exam centre before the final bell rings?

A:

As per instructions given on the admission portal, the candidate is not allowed to leave the exam hall until the exam is over. So, if you are planning to leave the exam hall even before the exam is over, you need to junk them now.

The UCEED 2025 exam will be conducted from 9 am - 12 noon.

Once the exam gets over, the invigilator will collect the answer sheets and compete any other formalities that may be there. Once the process is over, the candidate can come out of the exam hall.

How to Fix Discrepancy in UCEED 2025 Admit Card

Carefully examine ALL the entries in the UCEED admit card. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate has to contact the UCEED Office at IIT Bombay at the following email address:  uceed@iitb.ac.in.

Common discrepancies may include:

  • The name of the candidate may be incorrectly spelled
  • Some information may be missing, for instance, your roll number or the name of the exam center
  • Information may be blurred, etc.

UCEED 2025 Exam-day Guidelines

IIT Bombay notified candidates about the dos and don'ts to be followed at the exam venue through the admit card.

Particulars Instructions
Identity Verification

The candidate's identity will be verified by invigilators as well as IIT representatives.

If the identity of a candidate is in doubt, then he or she may not be allowed to appear for the examination. In some cases, exam officials may permit the candidate to appear in the exam after completing certain formalities. However, no extra time will be allowed to complete the examination to compensate for the time taken to complete these formalities.

Further, the candidature of such candidates will be subject to the decision of the UCI Committee, which will be final and binding.

Impersonation/ Use of Unfair Means

These types of actions will be considered serious offenses and lead to disqualification. Further, criminal proceedings may also be brought against those indulging in these activities. 

Reporting Time

Candidates need to report to their UCEED exam center at 7 AM.

The admit card and a Valid, Original Photo Identity Proof would be required for recording biometric information (thumb impression and photograph) before appearing for the examination.

Exiting the exam hall 

The candidate has to remain in the examination hall for the entire duration of the examination.

Blank sheets Aspirants will be given blank sheets for rough work. These sheets need to be handed over to the Invigilator after the UCEED Part A exam is over.
Stationery

The candidate must bring their own drawing material like pens, pencils, sketch pens, and colors for the examination.

However, drawing sheets are not allowed inside the examination hall.

Items NOT Permitted

The candidate is NOT allowed to carry any electronic devices (mobile phones, smartphones, watches of any type, calculators, tablets, and the like), abacus, slide rule, log books, study material of any type, geometry box, and so on to the examination hall.

Exam officials will also put up a list of forbidden items on the website before the exam if there are additional items.

Q:   What are the important topics candidates need to prepare for Part A of UCEED 2025?

A:

The UCEED 2025 question paper will have two parts - 1) the computer-based Part A and 2) drawing and aptitude-based Part B. To prepare for Part A, the candidate needs to focus on the following topics: Visualization and spatial reasoning: Ability to visualise and transform 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships. Practical and scientific knowledge: Know-how of scientific principles and everyday objects. Observation and design sensitivity: Capacity to detect concealed properties in day-to-day life and think critically about them. Attention to details, classification, analysis, inference and prediction. Environment and society: General awareness of environmental, social and cultural connections with design. Q:   What will be the structure of the UCEED question paper 2025?

A:

The question paper for the UCEED 2025 exam will 3 hours long and have two parts. Part A - It will be computer-based section, 2) Part B - It will be a sketching-based and aptitude-based test. The candidate need to appear in both the paper to be included in the merit list. Further, the candidate has to qualify Part A, or else his or else Part B paper answer booklets will only be evaluated. The qualifying marks for Part A will be released before the declaration of results. A:

The candidate needs to remember the following points about Part B question paper of UCEED 2025: Part-B will now include only TWO questions The question for the section will shown on the computer monitor. The candidate after reading the question has to write/ draw the answer option in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator. Part B test will evaluate the drawing ability and Design Aptitude of the candidate. Part B is mandatory and will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. Q:   What types of questions will be asked in Section 2 of UCEED 2025 question paper?

A:

The UCEED 2025 question paper for Part A will include three sections. It will include 28 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs). Each MSQ may have one or more than one correct choice (s) out of the four given. The following marking scheme will be followed for MSQ-type questions: Full Marks: + 4 If only (all) the correct option (s) is (are) chosen and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 3 If all the four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 2 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 1 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is a correct option and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Zero Marks: 0 If None of the options is chosen (I. e., the question is unanswered). Negative Marks: -1 In all other cases.
