GATE 2025 Chemical Engineering (CH) Syllabus and Exam Dates
IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The entrance test will be conducted in two phases - Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). The GATE Chemical Engineering will be held on February 16, 2025, in the forenoon session (9:30 am to 12:30 pm). IIT Madras BSc admission is entrance-based as the institute primarily accepts the rank and scores of the JEE Main examination for admission to its full-time BSc programme. GATE 2025 Chemical Engineering (CH) Syllabus: Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of the GATE 2025 chemical engineering (CE) question paper has a total mark of 100 in English. The exam will be conducted online and will last three hours. The marking scheme of the GATE Chemical Engineering question paper is as follows -
- General Aptitude - 15 marks
- Engineering Mathematics - 13 marks
- Subject-specific questions - 72 marks
For a one-mark MCQ, a 1/3rd mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. For a 2-mark question (MCQ), a 2/3rd mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. However, there is no negative marking for wrong answers to MSQ or NAT questions.
