The National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main 2024 Answer Key session 2 in the second week of April. The exact date for the release of the answer keys is yet to be declared by the NTA. Candidates will be able to check JEE Main Answer Key 2024 on the official website of the exam. To download the answer key, candidates will need their login details. JEE Main Answer Key 2024 will help candidates evaluate their performance and calculate the probable marks they could obtain in the JEE Main 2024 exam.

Candidates who are not satisfied with the recorded response will be given a chance to challenge the same by filling an online application form. They would also be required to pay the processing charges of Rs 1000/- per question. The challenge of JEE Main final answer keys will be accepted online only through the link available on the website by paying processing charges. Payment of the fee is to be made through a credit/debit card (non-refundable). Candidates should note that NTA’s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further objections will be entertained.

Q:   How can I download my JEE Main response sheet?

A:

JEE Main response sheets are released online by NTA along with the answer key. To download the JEE Main response sheets, candidates need to login on the JEE Main official website using their application number and date of birth/password. JEE Main response sheet will have the details of marked response by candidate during the exam. Candidates can use the response sheet along with answer key to calculate their marks in the exam.

Q:   What is the fee for objecting to the answer key of JEE Mains?

A:
The fees for raising objections in JEE Main answer key is INR 200 per question. Candidates need to pay the fees online using internet banking or credit/debit card. The actual fees to be paid for raising the objections will depend on the number for questions selected for grievance.

Q:   Can I raise objections in JEE Main final answer key?

A:
No, candidates cannot raise objections in the final answer key of JEE Mains. The facility to raise objections is provided only in the provisional answer key. NTA has clearly specified that candidates cannot raise objections in the JEE Main final answer key. The result of candidates is prepared on the basis of JEE Main final answer key.

Step 3: Navigate to the “Challenge of Answer Key” tab

Step 4: On clicking on the tab, candidates will have to select the question ID 

Step 5: Then, candidates will be asked to insert the answer to the question they are challenging in the “claimed answer tab”

Step 6: Raise objections(s) if any. If not, then submit your JEE Main answer key objection form

After all the objections raised against JEE Main final answer key are submitted, an expert committee will scrutinize the challenges submitted by candidates. If the committee agrees to the objections raised, they will release the JEE Main final answer keys basis the correct answers submitted by candidates for challenging questions in the JEE Main question paper.

Q:   What can I do if there are discrepancies in the final answer key of JEE Main?

A:
NTA prepares the JEE Main final answer key with the help of expert faculty members and subject matter experts. There is NO possibility of discrepancy in the final answer key of JEE Main. However, if any question is found incorrect or the options of any questions are found incorrect, students are awarded full marks for that questions irrespective of whether the candidate has appeared that question or not.

Q:   How can I raise objection in JEE Main Answer Key 2024?

A:

JEE Main 2024 Answer Key challenge facility for session 2 is open up to April 14. Candidates can submit their grievances in JEE Main answer key in case they have objection to any answer in the NTA answe rkey. To raise objection, candidates need to login on the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.ac.in using their application number and date of birth. After login, candidats will have to open the answer key and select the answer that need to be challenges. Candidates also need to pay INR 200 per question to challenge the answer key.

Q:   How much is the fees for raising objections in JEE Main answer key?

A:

Candidates will be able to raise objections against the provisional JEE Main answer key 2024 online. For every objection, the candidates will have to pay INR 500. The fee payment has to be done online i.e., through credit card/debit card/net banking. If the candidates do not pay the required fee then their objections will not be accepted. Along with the fee, the candidates will also have to submit the supporting proof for the objections. 

Q:   How would I know if my challenge in JEE Mains answer key has been accepted?

A:

In case the JEE Main answer key challenge raised by the candidate is accepted, the NTA will send an email to the registered email address mentioning the details of question for which the objections has been accepted. The NTA will also send the details of correct answer for the questions.

Q:   How to download JEE Main answer key?

A:

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download answer key

Step 1- Open the JEE Main website

Step 2- Click on JEE Main answer key link

Step 3- Login using your JEE Main 2025 application number and password/date of birth

Step 4- The answer key will be displayed on the screen along with response sheet

Step 5- Download the answer key and take its printout.

The final answer key, released after reviewing the objections submitted by the candidates will be used for calculating the result/score of the candidates. The final answer key is not subjected for challenge/submission of grievances by the candidates.

JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern

NTA has released the JEE Main 2024 exam pattern. The exam will comprise two sections – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both the sections will be of three hours duration. JEE Main Paper 1 will be held online while Paper 2 will be held in both online and offline modes.

Candidates seeking admission to BTech programs at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs will appear for JEE Main Paper 1. Aspirants are willing to seek admissions to BArch programs at NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs JEE Main Paper 2.

JEE Main Marking Scheme 2024

JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 will be of 300 marks. The question paper will be divided into three sections. Each section will carry a total of 30 questions. JEE Main Paper 2A for BArch will have a total of 82 questions in the Mathematics and Aptitude test. The paper for Drawing will comprise 2 questions of 35 marks each. JEE Main Paper 2B will have a total of 105 questions.

For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded +4 marks in both Paper 1 & Paper 2. However, there is a provision for negative marking in JEE Main exam. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.   

JEE Main Result 2024 Session 2

JEE Main Session 2 Result 2024 will be announced on April 25 by NTA. Candidates will be able to check their JEE Main 2024 results online on the official website of NTA.  

How to check JEE Main results 2024?

Step 1: Visit the official website of JEE Main 

Step 2: Enter your roll number and date of birth to check your JEE Main result

Step 3: Once you submit the required details, JEE Main 2024 results will be displayed on the screen

Step 4: Download and take a printout of JEE Main 2024 scorecard

Candidates should preserve their JEE Main 2024 scorecards for future reference or till the time the admission process concludes.
