According to the NIRF 2021, NIT Meghalaya rank is 59th in the Engineering category, however, last year, it was 60th in the same category. NIT Meghalaya NIRF Rankings 2023

National Institute of Technology Meghalaya ranked 72nd in the Engineering category by the NIRF in the year 2023, which was released recently. Last year, the institute ranked 60th in the Engineering category. In the same category, NIT Meghalaya ranked 59th in the year 2021. This year, NIT Meghalaya fell 12 ranks to rank '72' in the NIRF ranking. Q:   Is NIT Meghalaya BTech programme ranked in Internationally?

A:

NIT Meghalaya BTech programme isn’t ranked internationally. However the BTech programmehas been ranked under National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF. NIRF is an approved by the MHRD and was launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th of September 2015. The NIRF has ranked NIT Meghalaya BTech programme 72 among top engineering colleges in India.

Q:   Can I get admission at NIT Meghalaya in BTech if my rank is between 19000 and 20000?

A:

NIT Meghalaya JEE Main Round 6 cutoff for Computer Science Engineering is 19175 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in NIT Meghalaya. 

Q:   What is the CCMN last round closing Rank for MSc at NIT Meghalaya?

A:

MSc seat allocation for MSc is done via the CCMN counselling. Candidates must participate in the CCMN counselling where they release cutoff for selection of students. The CCMN Counselling 2023 for the three specialisations was concluded after Round 5. The CCMN Last Round (Closing Rank) in Physics stood at 2417, in Mathematics it was 2462, and finally in Chemistry it was 2150.

A:

NIT Meghalaya MSc admission is based on CCMN scores, followed by CCMN Counselling process. During the NIT Meghalaya MSc cutoff 2023, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing rank ranged between 1475 and 2462. Basis the Last Round, the minimum NIT Meghalaya CCMN cutoff 2023 stood at 2150 for M.Sc. in Chemistry.
