KEAM 2025 Exam Pattern: The Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE) revised the KEAM exam pattern in the previous academic session. KEAM 2025 will be held in computer-based test mode and there will be one paper with three sections (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) for BTech candidates and two (Physics, Chemistry) for BPharm candidates. The KEAM 2025 entrance exam for engineering courses will consist of 150 questions, with Mathematics having 75 questions, Physics having 45 questions and Chemistry having 30 questions. Candidates will have 180 minutes to complete the exam. For candidates appearing for KEAM 2025 BPharm ONLY, the entrance exam will have 45 questions in Physics and 30 questions in Chemistry, to be completed within 90 minutes. Each correct answer will fetch candidates four marks, while every incorrect answer will result in a deduction of one mark.

Before we move ahead towards the detailed KEAM exam pattern, candidates must understand the exam syllabus. KEAM syllabus usually consists of topics taught in Class XI and Class XII. There is no paper 1 or paper 2 in KEAM anymore. As per the revised KEAM exam pattern to be followed from 2024 onwards, KEAM will not have two papers anymore. There will be one paper. Q: Â Is KEAM an online CBT exam or an offline pen and paper-based exam?
KEAM was an offline exam until 2023. Candidates had to attempt the exam in pen and paper mode. All entries in OMR answer sheet are to be made with blue or black ink BALL POINT PEN only. However, from 2024 onwards, KEAM transitioned to CBT mode.

Detailed KEAM Exam Pattern 2025
The pattern of the exam states that the KEAM question papers comprise objective-type questions (MCQ). For each question asked, five answers will be suggested but, only one of them will be correct. For every correct response in the Engineering and Medical Entrance Examinations, candidates will be awarded four marks and for each wrong response, one mark will be deducted from the candidate’s total score.

 KEAM Marking Scheme
To understand the KEAM question paper pattern, it is important to study the marking scheme in the exam. The exam marking scheme to understand the KEAM pass marks is similar to the JEE Main marking scheme. Â
- Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer
- 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer  Â
- 4 marks will be awarded to candidates for marking every accurate answer
- No marks will be deducted for not attempting a question  Â
- In case a candidate has marked two answers for a single question in the OMR sheet, negative marking will be applicable regardless of either of the answers being right or wrong.
