Release of application form: IB ACIO application form was made available online. The examination fee was INR 100 and recruitment processing charges were INR 500. Male candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories were required to pay the exam fee as well as recruitment processing charges. All SC/ST, female and ExSM candidates were required to pay recruitment processing fees.

Issue of admit card: IB ACIO admit card is released online separately for different stages of the recruitment exam. Candidates need to download the admit card from the official website by logging with the registration number and password. The admit card contains details such as exam city, time, date and IB ACIO exam centres. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. The admit card is an important document without which candidates are not allowed to enter the exam hall.

IB ACIO exam: The exam is conducted in three stages: Tier 1, 2 and Interview. Tier 1, which is an objective type test comprises questions from General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical/analytical ability, and English Language. Candidates are given one hour to complete the paper. The score of candidates for this Tier is calculated out of 100 marks. Tier 2 is a subjective type test that comprises questions from English Comprehension and Precis Writing. The total marks for the test are 50. The duration of the exam is one hour. The Interview carries 100 marks.

The marking scheme of IB ACIO is given below:

  • There will be a negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer in the Tier I exam
  • For a correct answer in Tier I, candidates will get one mark
  • No marks will be awarded for un-attempted questions
