The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducted the IBPS PO 2024 exam on October 19 and 20, 2024. The IBPS mention the list of IBPS PO 2024 exam centre list in the official advertisement. The IBPS will conduct the IBPS PO exam 2024 at the designated exam centres only. The IBPS PO admit card 2024 for the exam was released on October 10, 2024. The IBPS PO 2024 was conducted in around 200 cities in four shifts.

The main exam is conducted in around 100 cities in two shifts. IBPS PO interview is conducted in limited cities from the ones allotted for the mains exam. Candidates are required to select one exam city each for the prelims and mains exams of IBPS PO while filling the application form. IBPS PO exam is one of the most sought-after banking exams in the country participated by more than five lakh candidates. 

Q:   What are the items banned inside the IBPS PO exam centre?

A:

Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box,  Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, any communication device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band etc. Other items like Goggles, Handbags, Hair-pin, Hair-band, Belt, Cap, Any watch/Wrist Watch, Camera, metallic item, eatable item opened or packed, water bottle (only transparent water bottle is allowed), Any other item which could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices like camera, bluetooth devices etc. After AarogyaSetu status display at the entry gate, candidates will be required to switch off their mobile phones, and deposit it at the designated location, to be collected while exiting. Any candidate who is found either copying or receiving or giving assistance will be disqualified. Candidates should avoid wearing ornaments like Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Badge, brooch etc.

Q:   How do I download the IBPS PO admit card?

A:

IBPS PO admit card is released separately for the prelims exam, Mainsexam and interview. The link to download the admit card is made available on the official website. However, the direct link to download the admit card is also provided on this page. To download IBPS PO admit card, candidates need to enter the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. The steps to download IBPS PO admit card are given below:

  • Visit the official website of IBPS 
  • Click the 'IBPS PO Admit Card' link on the home page
  • Enter registration number or roll number and date of birth or password
  • After entering the details, IBPS PO admit card appears on the screen

Q:   Will I be provided travelling allowance to go to the exam centre for IBPS PO exam?

A:

Travelling Allowance is not given to candidates in order to reach the IBPS PO exam centre. Candidates should go to the exam centre at their own expense. Candidates should bring ball-point pen, blue ink stamp pad and glue to the exam centre. Sheets of paper are provided which can be used for rough work or taking down the question number you would like to review at the end of the test before submitting your answers. After the test is over candidates must submit these sheets of paper by putting them in the designated drop box before leaving the venue. Candidates must write their registration number and roll no. on the rough sheets.

Q:   I have filled the wrong pin code in my IBPS PO application form. Will it be a problem during document verification?

You are required to correctly enter the pin code in IBPS PO application form since appointment letter and other important documents are send on the registered pin code. Errors in application forms can sometimes lead to issues during document verification. It is better that candidates must contact the examination authority directly to know about the specific impact of the error in the application form and if there is any way to correct it.

Q:   What is IBPS PO shift timing?

A:

IBPS PO prelims exam is conducted in four shifts -9 am to 10 am, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, 2 pm to 3 pm, and 4 pm to 5 pm. IBPS PO Mains exam is conducted in two shifts- 9 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 5.30 pm. The shift timings of the prelims and Mains exams are mentioned on the admit card. Candidates need to appear for the exam as per their shift timings. Candidates reporting late to the exam centre will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. Q:   When should I reach IBPS PO exam centre?

A:

You should reach the IBPS PO exam centre early before the reporting time to complete the verification process. After you are given entry to the exam hall, you need to sit on the allotted system. After that, you need to login with the password as mentioned on the IBPS PO admit card. Before beginning with the test, you should read the instructions catefully. You are also supposed to write the handwriting sample. All the questions comprises multiple choices. Out of the five answers, only one is the correct answer. You have to select the most appropriate answer and ‘mouse click’ that alternative which you feel is appropriate/correct. The alternative/ option that you have clicked on will be treated as your answer to that question. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked by you. For every wrong answer marked by you, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

IBPS PO Exam Day Guidelines

The exam day guidelines of IBPS PO are given below:

  • Candidates must report to the IBPS PO exam centres 15 minutes before the reporting time
  • Candidates should bring their IBPS PO admit cards along with the photocopy of the photo ID proof
  • Any stationery item such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner, etc. are not allowed
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pager, health band, etc.
  • All ornament such as ring, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, brooch, etc. are thoroughly checked
  • Candidates are allowed to carry a simple ball-point pen

Q:   What are the guidelines related to the capturing of biometric impression at the IBPS PO exam centre?

A:

In the IBPS PO exam, biometric date (Right thumb impression) will be captured twice at the examination venue i.e. before the start of exam and after completion of exam. The guidelines related to biometric verification are given below:

  • If fingers are coated (stamped ink/mehndi/coloured.etc..), ensure to thoroughly wash them so that coating is completely removed before the exam day
  • If fingers are dirty or dusty, ensure to wash them and dry them before the finger print (biometric) is captured
  • Ensure fingers of both hands are dry. If fingers are moist, wipe each finger to dry them
  • If the primary finger (Right thumb) to be captured is injured/damaged, immediately notify the concerned authority in
    the test centre

Q:   What are IBPS PO exam day guidelines?

A:

Some of the IBPS PO exam day guidelines are given below:

  • Candidates need to bring the printed copy of their IBPS PO admit card along with one photo-identity proof (original and photocopy)
  • Candidates need to paste their recent passport size photographs on it. Candidates need to bring one additional photograph
  • The prelims admit card will not be collected at the exam venue. However, it will be duly authenticated/stamped by the exam officials. Candidates need to retain the admit card and photo-identity proof. Those who will be called for theMainsexam are required to produce the prelims admit card and photo-identity proof along with theMainscall letter
  • The accepted photo-identity proof is PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving License/Voter’s Card/Bank Passbook with photograph/photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer (on official letterhead)/Photo Identity proof issued by a People’s Representative (on official letterhead)/ Identity Card issued by a recognised College/University/Aadhar Card/E-Aadhar Card with a photograph/Employee ID/Bar Council Identity card with the photograph)
  • Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof
  • Late comers will not be allowed to enter the exam hall
  • Travelling allowance will not be provided to candidates
  • Any kind of electronic items are not permitted inside the exam centre
