RRB ALP 2024: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) released RRB Technician 2024 admit card. According to the revised exam dates, RRB Technician 2024 exam is scheduled on December 19, 20, 23, 24, 26, 28, 29 and 30, 2024. RRB Technician 2024 CBT 1 exam has been extended by a day. The exam will now conclude on December 30, 2024. Earlier, it was scheduled to conclude on December 29. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials. RRB Technician mock test link is available now. Candidates appearing for the exam can take the mock test to improve their speed and accuracy in solving the problem. RRB ALP exam dates 2024 were announced recently.

RRB ALP Result 2024 for CBT 1 will be announced soon. RRB ALP answer key 2024 was released on December 5, 2024. Candidates could download RRB ALP answer key 2024 by logging with the required credentials. Candidates could also raise objections against RRB ALP answer key by paying INR 50 per question. The last date to raise an objection against RRB ALP answer key was December 10, 2024. The fee to raise objections against the answer key was INR 50.

Q:   What is RRB ALP marking scheme?

CBT 1 will have 75 questions for 75 marks and the duration granted to resolve the questions is 60 minutes. 1/3rd ? marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT 1. The CBT 2 will have two parts- Part A and B for 175 marks. 1/3rd? marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT 2. The marks of candidates are calculated based on the correct and incorrect answers. Normalisation of marks is done to calculate the scores of candidates.

The CBT 1 exam was conducted from November 25 to 29, 2024 for ALP posts. The exam for Technician posts will be conducted on December 19, 20, 23, 24, 26, 28, 29 and 30, 2024. The CBT 2 is divided into two parts-Part A and Part B. Part A of the second stage CBT comprises 100 objective-type questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness on Current Affairs. In Part B, Total 75 questions are asked in the exam. This part is qualifying in nature and comprises questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by the Director General of Employment & Training (DGET).

The syllabus for CBT 2 comprises two parts-A and B. The syllabus for both the parts is given below:

RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2024

The stage-wise RRB ALP Exam Pattern is explained below:

RRB ALP First Stage CBT

  • This stage is common for ALP & Technician posts and is qualifying in nature. This means the marks obtained in this stage will not be counted for final merit list
  • The paper contains 75 objective type questions (MCQs) and total time given to complete the paper is 60 minutes
  • Each question carries one mark, hence, the total mark of the paper is 75
  • There is negative marking for incorrect answers, ⅓ mark is deducted for wrong answer

RRB ALP Second Stage CBT

  • Those who secure cut off marks in first stage CBT, get a call for second stage CBT
  • This stage of the exam is divided into two parts-A and B
  • Part A will have 100 questions and the total time is 90 minutes
  • Part B will have 75 questions and the duration of the paper is 60 minutes
  • There is negative marking for incorrect answers, ⅓ mark is deducted for one wrong answer
  • The marks obtained in Part A is used to shortlist candidates for further rounds of selection
  • Part B is qualifying in nature

RRB ALP CBAT

  • This stage is only for those candidates who have applied for Assistant Loco Pilots
  • Question papers are made available in both English and Hindi
  • There are five test batters, candidates need to score certain marks in each test battery to qualify the exam
  • The total marks allotted to this stage is 42 marks

RRB ALP Document Verification

  • For ALP post, shortlisting for Document Verification is done based on Part A of CBT 2 provided candidates qualify Part B and CBAT
  • For Technician post, shortlisting for Document Verification is done based on Part A of CBT 2 provided candidates qualify Part B
  • Candidates need to carry the original documents asked by RRBs on the day of document verification
  • If any candidate fails to submit original documents or if any document is found fake, the candidature of that candidate is canceled

Q:   Is CBAT mandatory for all posts in RRB ALP?

A:

In RRB ALP & Technician exam, only those who have applied for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and cleared second stage of, need to appear for CBAT. CBAT is for the candidates who have applied for technician post only. Candidates equal to eight times the number of ALP vacancies are called for CBAT based on the performance in Part A of second stage CBT, subject to qualifying the Part B. Candidates are required to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT. The questions in CBAT are in English and Hindi only. There is no negative marking in CBAT. To draw the merit list of ALP,  70 per cent weightage is given to Part A of second stage CBT and 30 per cent in CBAT.

Yes, RRB ALP vacancies 2024 were revised by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The vacancies were revised to 18799. Earlier, a total of 5696 vacancies were announced for the exam. The official notice released by RRBs reads, "Railway Recruitment Board has published CEN 01/2024 for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilo (ALP) with 5696 vacancies all over the Indian Railways. A review has been undertaken in view of additional demand received from Zonal Railways and vacancies of Assistant Loco
Pilot (ALP) stands enhanced to 18799. Necessary notice indicating RRB wise community wise breakup of vacancies will be displayed on website subsequently. Opportunity will also be given to existing candidates to revise their choice of RRB once details are published."
