RRB Exam Date 2024: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced the dates for the RRB NTPC 2024, RRB JE 2024 and RRB ALP 2024 exams. The RRB NTPC application form 2024 was available from September 14 to October 20, 2024, for 11,558 vacancies. The RRB JE application 2024 has concluded successfully. The RRB JE 2024 exam date will be announced soon. The RRB ALP exam was conducted from November 26 to 29, 2024. The RRB Group D notification 2024 is awaited. Railway aspirants must be familiar with RRB exam dates to apply for these exams. Knowing the RRB Exam Dates 2024 will also help candidates begin their preparations for various exams well in advance. Q:   When will RRB NTPC application form be released?

A:

RRB NTPC application form for Graduate posts was released on September 14, 2024. The last date to apply for this post was October 20, 2024. RRB NTPC application form 2024 for undergraduate posts was released on September 21, 2024. The last date to apply for the exam was October 27, 2024. Interested candidates need to fill the application form online only. The application fee can be paid both online and offline. In 2022, a total of 1.25 crore application forms were received for RRB NTPC exam. Candidates are not required to sent the hard copy of RRB NTPC application form.   • Candidates need to register for the exam such as name, category, date of birth, email ID, contact number, and academic details among others

Important Events Related to Railway Exam Dates

The important events of RRB are explained below.

RRB Application Form 

Interested candidates for various exams are required to fill RRB application form online separately for different posts. The application fee can be paid online and offline. The application fee is INR 500 for all candidates except for fee concession categories. The application fee is INR 250 for PwBD, Female, Transgender, Ex-Servicemen, SC, ST, Minority Communities, and Economically Backward Classes. On appearing in CBT, candidates belonging to unreserved categories get a full refund of application fees while reserved category candidates get a partial refund.

Issue of Admit Card

Railway admit card is released online for different stages of recruitment. RRB admit card for various exams is released four days before the scheduled date of CBT. Candidates can access their admit cards from the respective official websites of RRBs. To download the admit card, candidates are required to log in with a user ID and password.

Railway Exam 2024

Railway exam is conducted in various stages. RRB NTPC comprises 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Typing Skill Test/Computer Aptitude Test (as applicable) and Document Verification/Medical Examination. RRB JE comprises First Stage CBT, Second Stage CBT, Document Verification and Medical Examination. RRB Group D consists of CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification and Medical Examination. RRB ALP comprises First Stage CBT, Second Stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (conducted for Assistant Loco Pilot) and Document Verification.

The RRB Railway result for various exams is declared separately for different stages. Candidates can access the results from the official website. The roll numbers of qualified candidates are made available in PDF form. The scorecard is released along with the result. To download the scorecard, candidates need to log in with the required credentials. The scorecard also contains RRB cut-off marks apart from the section-wise and overall scores.

RRB NTPC selection process comprises various stages such as CBT 1, CBT 2, CBAT/CBTST, document verification and medical exam. The post-wise selection process is given below: First stage CBT, second stage CBT & Computer-based Aptitude Test is conducted for the posts of Station Master and Traffic Assistant. Subsequently, there will be document verification and medical examination. First stage CBT, Second stage CBT and Typing Skill Test are conducted for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper. Candidates need to appear for document verification and medical examination. For Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice, two-stage CBT is conducted, followed by document verification and medical examination.

To prepare for RRB Group D exam, candidates need to go through the exam pattern and syllabus. Candidates must choose the right study material for the exam. Q:   What is the educational qualification required for RRB Group D exam?

For the RRB Group D exam, the age of candidates should be between 18 and 33 years. Candidates must have completed Class 10 from an Institution recognised by NCVT/SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT to apply for the exam. RRB Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria vary as per the posts. RRB Eligibility Criteria for various exams are given below:

Age Limit: 18 to 33 years

Educational Qualification: The minimum education qualification for candidates applying to the technical departments is Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Signal & Telecom departments) and catering wing of Railways will be a Class 10 pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training or a Class 10 pass plus ITI.

RRB NTPC

Age Limit: The age limit for the undergraduate post is 18 to 30 years. The age limit for the graduate post is 18 to 33 years.

Educational Qualification:

  • For undergraduate posts, candidates must have passed Class 12
  • For graduate posts, candidates must have passed the graduation

RRB JE

Age Limit: 18 to 33 years

Educational Qualification 

  • JE Post: An applicant must have a three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering/Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile / Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Control/ Tools & Machining/ Tools & Die Making/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or B.Sc in Civil Engineering from a Recognized University/Institute.
  • DMS: Applicants need to complete a three-year Diploma in Engineering from any govt. recognized university or equivalent.
  • JE (IT): Candidates must have PGDCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ BCA/ B.Tech. (Information Technology)/ B.Tech. (Computer Science)/ DOEACC ‘B’ level course of three years duration or equivalent.
  • CMA: Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 55 per cent marks

RRB ALP

Age Limit: 18 to 28 years.

Educational Qualification:

  • ALP: Must have passed Class 10/SSLC & ITI/Course Completed Act Apprentices or Diploma/Degree in Engineering.
  • Technician: Completed Class 10/SSLC plus ITI/ Course Completed Act Apprentices or 10+2 with Physics and Maths or Diploma in Engineering

Q:   What is RRB NTPC salary?

A:

RRB NTPC salary is different for different posts. The starting basic salary range offered to undergraduate posts is INR 19,900 to 21,700. While, the graduate post employees are offered RRB NTPC salary in the range of INR 25,500 to INR 35,400. The monthly basic salary for Junior Clerk cum Typist is INR 19,900 while it is INR 35,400 for Station Master and Commercial Apprentice. Candidates are also entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), Travel Allowance (TA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), pension benefits, and medical reimbursements. RRB Group D selection process comprises CBT, PET/PST, Document Verification and Medical Exam. The PET/PST is qualifying in nature. Though PET/PST is qualifying in nature, candidates are required to clear it. There is weightage of marks for this stage.
