The SBI PO exam is difficult but doable. There are some factors which make SBI PO a bit challenging for aspirants. These are as follows: 1. There is a limit to the number of attempts. The time limit is very strict for both the prelim and mains. You have only one hour for the prelims, with 100 questions, and three hours for the 155-question mains. 5. The one-fourth negative marking scheme is a challenge, and the aspirant feels the pressure of losing. 25 marks 7. The surprise questions in the main stage further increase the pressure on aspirants. 8. Finally, the group discussion and interview rounds are also very challenging and require quick thinking. The job profile of SBI PO is given below:

Q:   What is the selection process of SBI PO?

A:

SBI PO exam is conducted in three phases-prelims, Mains, and group exercises and interview. The prelims exam comprises English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The mains exam comprises both subjective and objective-type tests. The total marks allotted to the mains exam are 250. The final selection is done on the basis of Mains exam and group exercises and interview. Candidates are also required to appear for the psychometric test before group exercises and interview. The performance in the psychometric test is shared with the interview panel. The psychometric test is qualifying in nature. The Group Exercises and Interview carries 50 marks.

Q:   What is the probation period of SBI PO?

Candidates selected through SBI PO exam will be on a probation for two years. Candidates during the probation period are subject to continuous assessment. Those who qualify in the assessment as per the standards determined by the bank from time to time will be confirmed to the post of Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). The selected candidates at the time of joining are required to sign a bond of INR 2 Lacs. They need to serve for a period of three years or else the bond will be invoked by the bank if the candidate resigns from the service of the bank before expiry of three years from the date of joining.

SBI PO prelims cut off is not taken into consideration for final selection. The cut offs of the mains exam and interview are taken into consideration for final selection. SBI PO cut off for the prelims exam is only considered to select candidates for the mains exam.
