Age Limit
- For SSC Stenographer Grade C, candidates must be between 18 and 30 years
- For Stenographer Grade D, the age limit is 18 and 27 years
- Candidates belonging to the reserved category are provided relaxation in the upper age limit

Candidates must have completed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised university.

SSC Stenographer Notification 2024: How to Apply?
SSC Stenographer application form can be filled online only from the official website of SSC. The application fee is INR 100, Women, SC, ST, PWD, Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment. The fee can be paid using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card, or in cash. The process of filling online application form consists of two parts.

SSC Stenographer Notification: Exam Pattern
According to SSC Stenographer exam pattern, the computer-based exam comprises three parts: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension. The test paper comprises 200 questions and the total marks of the test are 200. The duration of the test is two hours. The skill test is conducted online and candidates are given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi which candidates need to type at a speed of 100 words per minute for Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m for the post of Stenographer Grade D.
