CUCAT merit list is prepared on the following criteria:

• Mandatory reservations seats
• Community Quota Seats
• Management Quota Seats
• Other Reservation Seats
• Special Reservation Category Seats
• Total students appeared for the course
• Total Seats offered
• Average marks secured.

CUCAT Result 2025 will be declared by the Calicut University at its official website, uoc.ac.in once the exam is over. The CUCAT results will be available in the online mode as merit lists. Once the result is released, candidates will be able to get details such as their names, respective roll numbers, application numbers, merit ranks, entrance scores and percentages through the CUCAT Result 2025.

CUCAT is held to offer admission to courses such as Integrated M.A. in Development Studies, Integrated M.Sc. Bioscience, Integrated M.Sc. in Physcis, Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry, LLM with Double Specialisation, M.A. Arabic Language & Literature, M.A. Comparative Literature, M.A. Economics & M.A. Financial Economics, M.A. English Language & Literature and other Master of Arts, Master of Science, and UG and PG law courses.

To pursue BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management) course through Calicut University Common Admission Test (CUCAT), aspirants should have completed their  Class 12 from Kerala State Board or a recognised board in any stream and should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate. To pursue BCom course through Calicut University Common Admission Test (CUCAT), aspirants should have completed their Class 12 from Kerala State Board or a recognised board in Commerce stream and should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate. With CUCAT, candidates can get admission in various other courses. Candidates are suggested to check the Shiksha's page to know about detailed eligibility criteria. 

Candidates willing to take admission in BPEd course through Calicut University Common Admission Test (CUCAT) must have done Class 12 rom Kerala State Board or any recognised board in any stream with Physical Education as a subject and should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate. With CUCAT, candidates can get admission in various other courses. Candidates are suggested to check the Shiksha's page to know about detailed eligibility criteria.

The marking scheme for CUCAT exam is as such that questions vary for different courses. There is no fixed number of questions set per course. For BTech, the number of questions will be different from the number of questions asked in a BA Political Science question paper. There will be negative marking and 1/3 marks will be deducted. The total marks will be 100 marks.

The Calicut University UG Entrance Exam pattern is as such that students will be provided with OMR sheets and plain papers to write their answers. The duration of the entrance exam will be 2 hours. Candidates will have to write down their answers with a pen on the allotted answer sheets. The questions will be asked in both English and Malayalam.
