The library is quite good, and the study material is updated with time.
Placements: After B2 level, that is after B.A. 3rd year, a student of the German language becomes eligible for a job in MNCs. There are opportunities in special agencies, embassies, and also you can teach in schools and colleges after B2. If you've done C2, then you can apply anywhere. There's no open placement facility on our campus.
Infrastructure: There are so many festivals like Holi, Deepawali, Durga Puja, Janmashtami, Saraswati Pooja etc. That we celebrate in JNU. Saraswati Puja is celebrated in January, Holi in March, Deepawali in October, November, and Janmashtami in August and September. There's a wider range of books in our library. The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) library has over 500,000 books, plus audiovisual items and over 10,000 sprint journals. The library also offers online access to more than 20,000 journals. The library adds about 10,000 books each year based on suggestions from students and faculty. It also subscribes to around 1,000 journals and 1,000 serials that people often use to play in the sports complex of JNU. There are AC rooms, and we'll electrify the rooms. Fans, ventilation, and for presentations, there is well-availability of the equipment in every classroom.
Faculty: The ratio of faculty to students is approximately 1:30. Every batch gets quality education. There are also many exchange programs. One can go to another country by applying for scholarships. Then, the exam is conducted, and the students get funds from the same company. The faculty guides students with their best efforts. They teach us with their whole heart and knowledge. We can interact with the faculty whenever we have genuine issues or queries regarding the syllabus.

You can get a lot of career and personality development opportunities.
Placements: There were many companies offering internships in marketing and finance, as well as other streams. The average stipend from each company was 20,000 per month. Most of the companies were located outside our state. I completed my project report on the stock market in India with the full support and guidance of our faculty.
Infrastructure: Many festivals representing different religions, states, and cultures are held at JNU. The campus life is vibrant, offering experiences like camping, marathons, quizzes, drama, dance, singing, skating, sports, and many others. JNU boasts India's biggest library, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Library. Some centers have better classrooms than others. Many students run singing, dancing, and skating clubs.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is one mentor for every 30 students. I really liked Dr. Anjana; she was very polite and her helpful nature attracted me. The best faculty member was Dr. Anjana. There was also a teacher named Anubhav, whose nature was arrogant, which I didn’t like, but he left the college after some time. Mid-term exams and weekly tests were conducted before the semester exams, with 35% of students failing to clear them. The course curriculum was fully relevant.

India's lowest price MCA offline course.
Placements: The last year batch, approx. 50% of students were placed in the on-campus placement season. The remaining 20% are also placed off campus. The average salary is 4-5 lpa, the lowest is 3 lpa and the highest is 12 lpa. Top recruiting companies are Optum, Ciena, Efiya, and Desicions. Internships can only get through off-campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our school is not as attractive as that of other schools, and the hostel infrastructure is not very attractive either. However, the pricing is very affordable. The hostel food is better than many hostels and there are canteens at every road on campus. The medical facilities are great, and sports and games facilities are available in each hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and have excellent knowledge in their fields. The semester exams are not that difficult, and if we study properly in class, we can get good marks. The pass percentage is 100%, so no student fails here. The course curriculum is relevant, but they start with so many basic subjects that we have already studied in the BCA course. Then, in the next semester, they suddenly shift to hard subjects. But overall, the course curriculum is fine.
Other: I was always interested in choosing this course from this university. So, I worked hard to crack the cue and get admitted. However, I wish the infrastructure could be improved, and the teachers could be more helpful in placing students.

The college has a large campus for their students.
Placements: In fact, this college provides better placement for the students, but the more hard work a student puts in, the higher placements they can get, and all those placements are being provided on behalf of foreign companies, with approximately more than INR 15–25 lacs. Students can get that opportunity, which can build their lives. If they see that, because there are various opportunities for the job, one can get a good placement with a better performance in this course. If someone is unable to get a placement, then they can start their own business with the intense ability to make apps, website and so on.
Infrastructure: The size of the rooms is average with the basic necessities provided in them, i.e., a bed, a cupboard, a fan, a table, and a chair. Each hostel has its own mess with a menu that is very diverse. The quality of the food is ever-changing. One can avail of hostel facilities at a cheap rate of about INR 3000 a year. If one wants to rent a room, the nearest places are Munirka and Vasant Kunj. Hostel Fee: INR 3000 per year.
Faculty: I graduated with a BCA so I am doing a masters in computer application. The JNU School of System Science faculty is good and the MCA course has 58 students. The ratio between teacher and students is 12:58. The teaching methods of our teachers are the best; they are teaching us like Ph.D. holders. There are four semesters in the MCA course and it's not difficult to pass the exam. Class size: 66 The course costs INR 4000 per year.

Review of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
Placements: Most of the students get placed. The average package offered is 7 LPA. The highest package offered is 14 LPA. The lowest package is about 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Optum, Effia Technologies, and Nagarro. Most of the students get internships too. If one is interested in doing projects under any professor, he can do. Nagarro came for internships too. Most of the companies came for the SDE role.
Infrastructure: I belong to Mahi Hostel. Wi-Fi available in the hostel is good. The condition of the rooms is okay. You have to arrange your own mattress. The quality of mess food is good. There are water issues in the hostel sometimes. The mess fee is around 3,000-3,400. The room rent is Rs. 60 per semester.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are very helpful. They are always ready to solve our doubts. Some professors are from IITs. The teaching quality is very good. Some of the subjects are not relevant. You have to focus mostly on DSA for companies. Semester exams are not very difficult. Most of the students get 7+ CGPA (out of 9). Attendance is not mandatory.
Other: This is one of the best institutes for doing MCA in India. The fee structure is affordable, and the teachers are good. Financially weaker students get 2000 rupees per month as a scholarship. Courses related to web-development should be introduced to our curriculum. There are many cultural events held in our university.

Students also asked

Q:   Can I get admission to JNU without CUET?

A:

To get admission at Jawaharlal Nehru University, candidates must visit the official website of the University (jnu.ac.in) or NTA for course-wise admission criteria. JNU admission to most of the UG, PG and Diploma courses are based on candidates' performance in the CUET-UG & CUET-PG scores. For admission to JNU BA (Hons.) in Foreign Languages, BSc.-MSc Integrated programme in Ayurveda Biology and Certificate of Proficiency courses, JNU accepts CUET-UG. For JNU PG courses including MTech, MPH, MA, MSc, MCA and PG Diploma in Big Data, admission is based on CUET-PG scores. For JNU MBA admission 2025, CUET-PG is not valid and is dependent on CAT scores.

Q:   Is JNU better than DU?

A:

As per the NIRF 2024 rankings, JNU is ranked 2nd, while DU is ranked 6th under 'University' category. This clearly suggests that JNU is a better university overall. However, these rankings are based on a variety of factors. Furthermore, the best university for a student will depend on the individual needs and preferences. Here is the comparison of JNU and DU based on some key factors:

  • Academics: JNU is known for its strong academics and research focus. It has a number of world-renowned faculty members, and its students have gone on to achieve great things in their careers. DU is also a good university academically, but it is not as research-intensive as JNU.
  • Campus Life: JNU has a vibrant campus life with a strong student union. There are many student organizations and activities, and the university has a reputation for being a hotbed of political activism. DU also has a good campus life, but it is not as political as JNU.
  • Location: JNU is located in South Delhi, while DU is spread out across the city. This means that JNU students have a more central location, while DU students have more options when it comes to choosing a college or hostel.
  • Fees: The fees at JNU are lower than the fees at DU. This is because JNU is a central university, while DU is a state university.

Q:   Is M.Sc. at JNU a good choice?

A:
{Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

Here's what current students and alumni have to say:

Pros:

* Excellent Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. They provide great lessons, and practical classes are helpful.
* Good Infrastructure: The university has a great campus with modern facilities, including a state-of-the-art library, laboratories, and hostel amenities.
* Placements: While the placement rate may vary across departments, some students reported getting internships and even job offers from reputed companies like D.E. Shaw, Deloitte USI, and McKinsey & Company.
* Scholarships: The university offers scholarships to deserving students.
* Campus Life: Students enjoy a lively campus culture with regular events, festivals, and sports competitions.

Cons:

* Limited Placements: Not all students get placed immediately after completing their degree, although some do secure internships.
* Old Curriculum: Some students felt that the course curriculum could be updated to include more industrial exposure.
* Hostel Conditions: Although the hostel facilities are generally good, some students mentioned that they needed improvement.
* Facilities for Research Students: Limited research opportunities and resources might affect students' ability to pursue higher degrees.

Overall Assessment: Based on the feedback from students and alumni, pursuing an M.Sc. at JNU seems like a good choice for those interested in academics, research, and networking. While the placement record may not be stellar, the university's strong reputation, excellent faculty, and vibrant campus atmosphere make it an attractive option. However, potential students should weigh these pros against the cons and consider whether JNU aligns with their individual goals and expectations.
