At the moment, there are a total of 24 NLUs that are participating institutes of CLAT 2025. The seat intake for all the courses offered at NLUs has been revised as under:
For the five-year LL.B. - The integrated law programme is offered by all the 24 NLUs, with the seat intake standing at 3,213 seats. For the one-year LL. M. - The programme is offered by 21 NLUs, which have a combined intake of 1,217 seats. In 2021, total 4,009 seats were available, out of which 3,012 seats are available for UG courses and 997 seats are available for PG course admissions. Q:   How many marks do I need for admission to a college through Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2024?

A:

There is criterion of minimum marks requirement for admission to a college through Andhra Pradesh LAWCET for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories. However, candidates of General category must score a minimum of 35% marks (42 marks out of 120 marks) to get admission to a college based on their Andhra Pradesh LAWCET scores. 

The college allotted to the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2024 test-taker will depend on the following factors: 

  • Marks obtained by the candidate
  • Cut off of the participating college
  • Reservation criteria

 

Q:   How many marks do I need to get admission through AP PGLCET?

A:

There is criterion of minimum marks requirement for admission to a college through AP PGLCET for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories. However, candidates of General category must score a minimum of 25% marks (30 marks out of 120 marks) to get admission to a college based on their AP PGLCET scores.

Q:   How many seats are offered by National Law Universities through CLAT?

A:

CLAT Exam is conducted to fill 3,213 seats in undergraduate courses and 1,217 in PG courses. These number doesn't include sponsored, supernumerary, NRI, and extra seats. The admission to 24 NLUs is done on the basis of the CLAT score and the cutoff. Candidates must note that the admission to any of the NLUs will not be done without CLAT score.

A:

No, universities from other countries do not use LSAT India scores in their admission process. The LSAT India is designed specifically for law schools in India and is not recognised by law schools in other countries. If you are interested in applying to law schools outside of India, you will need to take the LSAT (Law School Admission Test) or another recognised law school admissions test, such as the GRE (Graduate Record Examination.

Q:   What is the selection process for TS PGLCET?

A:

The selection process for TS PGLCET is as follows:

  1. Eligibility: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in law from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks. Reserved category candidates get a relaxation of 5% marks in the eligibility criteria.
  2. Entrance exam: Candidates must appear for the TS PGLCET exam and secure a rank in the merit list. The merit list is prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates in the exam.
  3. Counseling: Candidates who are ranked in the merit list will be called for counseling. During counseling, candidates will be able to select their preferred colleges and courses based on their merit rank and seat availability.
