In the last month of preparation, students often feel stressed. Practise more each day would help in getting the desired result. Stay focused and determined while preparing for competitive exams like AILET.
All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is one of the most important law exams for students looking a career in the law field. AILET is conducted by National Law University (NLU), Delhi for admissions in different programmes and AILET’s score is also accepted by some of the government and private colleges. The last month preparation tips for students are discussed in this section.
Explore colleges based on AILET
Like the CLAT exam, the pattern and types of questions in AILET are same, however, the only difference between these exams is the time duration and the number of questions. In AILET, the total number of questions is 150 and the time duration is 90 minutes. To score well in AILET, focus on the scoring topics which would require less time to complete.
The students should focus mainly on the scoring topics. The most scoring topics are General Awareness, Legal Terms, and English. Practise mock tests regularly to evaluate the performance and work on the weak areas. In the legal section, there are five questions in which students have to just analyse the notation given and just give the answer.
This section also consumes less time of the student, hence, this could be attempted early during the exam. In the English section, students have to answer the synonyms and antonyms only. This could also be solved easily without much effort, provided this section is practised regularly by students. Therefore, focus on these topics more during the preparation to secure high marks.
During the last week before the scheduled exam date, solve and practise as many mock tests as possible.
In my opinion, solve a minimum of five to six mock tests daily. After solving each test, analyse your mistakes and try to avoid these mistakes in the next tests. In a scenario where most of the questions attempted by a student are correct, then try to build up speed and solve a minimum of five more questions in the next test.
Reserve two to three days just before the exam for solving the previous five-year question papers, and attempt all the questions. This would help in managing time during the exam.
Also, focus and maintain Class 12 board exam score as the Class 12 board exams marks are considered for the merit list. Scoring well in the board exams would give an edge to students in competitive exams. Hence, prepare for each exam diligently.
