Q:   What is the rank for 150+ marks in TS ICET exam?

A:

TS ICET rank based on marks may change year to year depending on several factors. These factors include the number of candidates who took the exam, number of qualified candidates, difficulty standards of the TS ICET exam and more. For instance in the past session, TS ICET 2022 the rank 1 holder secured 170+ marks, whereas, in TS ICET 2021, the top 1 rank holder secured 155+ marks. Candidates securing 150+ marks can expect their rank to be within the top 20. TSCHE releases the TS ICET rankers list for top 20 rank holders along with the results.

Q:   Is TSICET exam tough?

A:
As per the past year's trends, TSICET exam is considered easy to moderate in terms of difficulty standards. Candidates have to work on their speed as well as accuracy to score well in TSICET. Wroking on time management for TSICET exam shall require the test takers to participate in mock test series. Additionally, candidates would have to practice using the past question papers to get a fair idea of the exam structure, important topics, weightage of topics, and more. A candidate who is aware of basic exam details and has a good hold on the speed can score well in TSICET exam with minimal preparation.

Q:   How to prepare for TSICET exam?

A:
Candidates must prepare for the TSICET exam by following the below-mentioned steps: - Get aware of the exam details, including pattern, syllabus, and more - Take mock tests - Know strengths and weaknesses and plan accordingly - Practise previous year question papers and TSICET mock tests - Work on time management as candidates need to answer within 45 seconds to complete on time - Plan studying one section at a time, followed by revision in phases - Make a habit of reading every day - Get the best study material, including past papers with solutions, best books, mock tests, and more TS ICET is a highly competitive exam with more than 60,000 candidates taking the exam. Therefore, candidates must follow a preparation plan religiously. Failing to study in a planned manner may lead to drop in the TSICET scores.

As you finish completing, a section you are weak, much of the pressure of exam preparation lessons. Follow TSICET syllabus and marking scheme to understand which portion you need to begin your preparation.

Month 2: Preparation for TSICET 2024

Devote this month on the second weakest subject, again either analytical ability or mathematical ability or communication ability. Understand the types of questions asked in this section, total time you need to solve questions in this section and what kind of method you need to apply in order to solve the different types of questions.

Q:   What is a good TSICET score?

A:
A good score in TSICET depends on various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, and the number of seats available for admission. However, if the previous year's trends are to be considered, scoring above 90 to 100 marks out of a total of 200 is considered a good score in TSICET. Candidates must note that the cutoff score for TSICET varies for different colleges and universities. Additionally, a good score can vary across categories. Candidates with a good TSICET score and a good academic record are likely to have better chances of securing admission to top MBA and MCA colleges in Telangana.

Q:   Which section is the easiest in TSICET exam?

A:
The Communication Ability section of the TSICET exam is considered the easiest section among all the sections. Telangana ICET has questions from three sections, namely Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability. Besides the difficulty standards, TSICET exam's Communication Ability section has the least questions, that is 50 questions. The Communication Ability section is further divided into four sub-sections, which include 1) Vocabulary 2) Business and Computer Terminology 3) Functional Grammar 4) Reading Comprehension.

Q:   Which is the best textbook for the preparation of ICET and MAT exam?

A:

Books to ICET (APICET or TSICET) and MAT preparation are as follows:

ICET Books for Mathematical Ability

  • Tables Book
  • 6Th standard to 10th Standard Mathematics books state level syllabus
  • Quantitative Aptitude by R S Agarwal
  • G.S.R. Book for ICET (G.S.R Publications)
  • Quicker Maths

ICET Books for Analytical Ability

  • Reasoning R S Agarwal
  • Time Material
  • Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation by Nishit Sinha
  • Reasoning Book for Competitive Examinations by Pearson

ICET Books for Communication Ability

  • Word Power Made Easy for Vocabulary
  • Wren and Martin for English Grammar
  • English Novels and tales for Reading Comprehension
  • Daily Newspaper business column for Business terminology

Candidates must read newspapers and study material by coaching institutes to prepare for computers.

Q:   When to start preparing for the TSICET exam?

A:
TSICET preparation must take at least two months of time if the candidate has already prepared for any other MBA entrance exam. However, if the candidate is starting the MBA prep journey with the TSICET exam, then the ideal time for preparation must be at least six months before the exam date. Candidates aspiring to qualify for Telangana MBA Admission must pass the TSICET exam. Candidates starting early to prepare for the TSICET exam will have time to prepare at ease. At the start of the preparation plan, candidates must go through the TSICET syllabus and exam pattern. The second step must involve the candidates in analysing their weaknesses and strengths. The later stage of the preparation must include the candidate in preparing a comprehensive study plan with the section-wise division of their time.

Here as well, your strategy should be to go through the topics in detail. Practising side by side the questions and determining where the occurrence of mistakes are more. This detailed approach helps in improvement from scratch.

Month 3: Preparation for TSICET 2024

In the third month, you can finally move on to the strongest subject. Applying the same technique, identifying the pattern of questions and the amount of time you need to solve those questions. Learn, write and practice sample question papers. You will need less time to prepare this section of TSICET syllabus, as you are already strong in this area.

Do not let the saved time go to waste. Devote it on full-length practice test and self-grade your performance. Keep a check on the time. Evaluate how much time you are consuming to solve the entire test papers.

General Preparation Tips for TSICET 2024

  1. Avoid studying more than 2 hours at a stretch for TSICET 2024 exam. If you are comfortable studying for long hours, take longer breaks of not less than 20 minutes. In the break time, keep yourself stress-free and away from syllabus completion thoughts. This is mainly because, if you continue with such thoughts, this will not relax your mind.
  2. Apply note taking strategies mentioned below-
  • Skim through the textbook, list down the questions, read, write and review it.
  • Check through the text you have written in the notebook. Put them in bullets, as it is easy to identify them.
  • Review and frame questions on the jotted points. This is a useful strategy to recall the points by you.
  • Reflect on the points and keep repeating them until you feel confident enough on any topic.
  1. Wherever possible try to use visual cues, as this is helpful in memorization of topics included in the TSICET 2024 exam or for formulas memorization. This will also help in the memorization of things. You can also make use of flashcards, as they are appealing in nature.
  2. Make sure to revise the topics within 24 hours. If you are touching upon the chapters that you have not studied for a long time or on the uncovered syllabus in the last few days, Recap, Review and Reinforce (3 R’s) is the best way you can adopt to prepare well in this section.
  3. Last but not of least importance is sleep well as it helps one to boost their memory. Your body needs at least 7-8 hours of sleep to remember all that you have studied.
