SNAP 2024 exam was easy. Maths was a bit tough. I practiced official SNAP mock tests in which I could solve 19-20 questions easily, but in the main exam, the questions were more calculation based. Some questions were lengthy. Some had 5-6 line description. Logical Reasoning and English were easy. The pattern was same and no change was there.

Q:   What is the syllabus and exam pattern of SNAP?

A:
The SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) exam tests the candidates on their aptitude in General English Quantitative Aptitude Analytical and Logical Reasoning, and General AwarenessGeneral English Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, and Verbal Ability Reading Comprehension Vocabulary-based questions Grammar-based questions Sentence correction Fill in the blanks Antonyms and Synonyms Idioms and Phrases Analogies Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency Arithmetic (Numbers, Ratios, Percentages, Profit and Loss, Interest, Time and Work, Time and Distance) Algebra (Equations, Inequalities, Logarithms, Quadratic Equations) Geometry (Lines, Angles, Triangles Circles, Polygons, Mensuration) Data Interpretation (Bar Graphs, Line Graphs, Pie Charts, Tables, Caselets) Data Sufficiency Analytical & Logical Reasoning Arrangements (Linear, Circular, Matrix) Blood Relations Coding-Decoding Syllogisms Logical Deductions Direction Sense Clocks and Calendars Mathematical Reasoning Data Sufficiency Current Affairs Current Affairs from different areas including business, economics, sports, politics, and entertainment.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of SNAP exam?

A:

SNAP exam has 60 MCQs and every question carries 2 mark. Earlier, there was differential marking in SNAP exam, but in 2020 the marking scheme was revised and every question across sections was allotted 1 mark. You can read the SNAP marking scheme given below:

  • SNAP has 60 questions
  • Total marks of SNAP exam is 60
  • Each question carries 1 mark for correct attempt
  • For every wrong attempt, 1/4th marks are deducted
  • The General English section is of 15 marks
  • The Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency section is of 20 marks
  • The Analytical & Logical Reasoning section is of 25 marks
  • There is no deduction of marks for skipping the question

Candidates scoring 45-50 out of 60 can hope for getting a good percentile.

Q:   What are the most important chapters of LR in SNAP?

A:
The SNAP exam syllabus is as follows: VERBAL SKILL Complete the Blanks Syllogisms Analogies use in context Paraphrasing Correction Annotations and Synonyms Verbal Analysis comprehension of poems or passages Picking oddball out completion of a sentence Idioms and Expressions Unorganized paragraphs of four or five sentences terms from other languages used in English sentence improvement Various ways to use the same term one word replacement Mathematical Skills Data Inference and Sufficient Data Variety System Percentage, profit-loss, interest, time-speed-distance, averages, ratio, etc. Are all examples of arithmetic. Overall difficulty level of SNAP 2024 was easy but I couldn’t solve more questions due to time issue. VA was easy, LR was moderate and Quant was tough, but overall the exam was easy. I am appearing for NMAT 2024 and XAT 2025.

SNAP 2024 exam was not difficult but there was a need to maintain speed. In English, one could attempt all questions. The focus was on Grammar such as conjunction and adverbs. Word meanings were there but they were easy. In Quants, focus was on Geometry. In LR section, focus was on clocks and calendars. I have given CAT 2024 and not will appear for NMAT 2024 and XAT 2025.

SNAP 2024 was not that difficult, it was on the moderate side, but time management was the key. I have not appeared for any other exam, I was quite nervous but it was not that difficult. I would suggest candidates of SNAP 2024 Test 2 and Test 3 to go for basics, appear for mock tests.

Q:   Is there a provision of marks revaluation in SNAP?

A:

No, there is no provision of rechecking or revaluation in SNAP. Candidates get three attempts in SNAP to improve their score in a single academic year. Candidates can attempt the exam three times. However, whether to appear for the exam again or not is the decision to be taken at the time of SNAP form filling only as the option to appear for multiple sessions is mentioned in the application form only. You cannot register for re-test after the SNAP registration window closes.

Best score of all the attempts will be considered for admission. The scores mentioned on the SNAP scorecard are final. If any candidate wishes to improve the score, then they will have to attempt the exam next year again.

My SNAP 2024 exam went fine. English was pretty easy, The A-LR section was a bit tougher than English. If you had a bit more time, you could crack it but since it is extremely speed based test and you have to think quickly, so it was a little bit tough on that side. Quant was calculation based so again if you had more time you could complete all the questions.
