Institute-wise SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2024

SNAP 2024 scores will be accepted by16 institutes and the eligibility criteria for each institute varies as per the course. Let us have a look at the detailed SNAP eligibility criteria defined for each institute affiliated to Symbiosis International University, Pune.

Q:   What is the MBA selection criteria through SNAP?

A:

Candidates are selected on the basis of SNAP cut offs for the MBA admission round which consists of Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). This round is held in February and March after the announcement of SNAP result.

Candidates who clear the GE-PI-WAT round are selected for MBA admission. The parameters for selection also include class 10, 12 and graduation scores, academic profile and work experience. All SIU institutes conduct Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test but individually.

Sectional SNAP cut offs may be evaluated for selection of candidate for Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. Scores of every section will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates along with their academic record. Thus, candidates must ensure that they perform well enough in each section of the SNAP exam.

Q:   Is SNAP exam score the only criterion for SIU MBA admission?

A:

No, clearing the SNAP exam is not the only criterion for admission. The candidates will also have to clear a personality assessment test which includes Group Exercise (GE), Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) round to be selected for SIU admission. This personality assessment round is conducted after SNAP result announcement and only those candidates are eligible who meet the SNAP cut off fixed by the institutes.

Apart from that, the institutes evaluate every shortlisted candidate’s academic record, i.e. score of class 10, 12 and graduation. Those who have been scoring consistently well in academics too, stand a better chance of getting selected for admission. Marks relaxation for academic and gender diversity, and work experience are also important factors for selection.

Q:   Is SNAP required for Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Symbiosis International, Bangalore?

A:

Over the years, Symbiosis International (Deemed) University's management college affiliate SIBM Bangalore has continuously reported excellent gender diversity and successful placements. The obligatory exam, SNAP, has a significant weight in SIBM Bengaluru's MBA admissions procedure. Passing the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a requirement for enrollment in Bangalore's Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM). For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the MBA programs offered by the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Bangalore, prospective applicants are evaluated based on their SNAP Entrance Exam results.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for SNAP and what is the selection process?

A:

The eligibility criteria and selection process are designed to pick the cream of the crop. To be eligible, candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks. But don't fret if you're in your final year, as you can still apply as long as you obtain the required minimum marks. Once you clear the eligibility criteria, the selection process begins, which includes shortlisting candidates based on their SNAP score, followed by the Group Exercise, Personal Interaction, and Writing Ability Test (GE-PIWAT).

To secure your spot, you need to perform well in all stages of the selection process, including demonstrating your aptitude, communication skills, and leadership potential. It's a competitive and rigorous process, but with dedication and preparation, you can ace it and be on your way to a bright future in the field of management.

Q:   I am in my final year of Graduation. Can I apply for SNAP 2024?

A:

Yes, you are eligible to apply for SNAP 2024. You will need to mention the same in the SNAP application form. Since there is minimum score requirement for SNAP, final year candidates will have to make sure that their minimum score of first and second year of the bachelor’s degree programme should be above 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved category). So, you need to check the average score of your first and second score is above the minimum requirement or not. If not, the in the final year you will have to score as much that the average score of three years matches the requirement. If the average score of your first and second year is above the minimum requirement even them, in the final year, you will have to score above the minimum score requirement otherwise the admission will be deemed invalid, even if you fulfill all the admission criteria.
