Prepare for SNAP GE/PIWAT

Each SNAP 2023 test taker will be eligible to participate in the GE/PIWAT round of SNAP selection process of the institutes they shall have opted for in the SNAP 2023 application form. However, their selection will be based on candidates’ SNAP score/percentile. Each institute will fix a cut off limit and candidates who shall have scored that much or above in SNAP 2024, will be selected for GE/PIWAT.

Q:   My SNAP percentile is 94, and I had given the interview at SIBM Hyderabad. The interview was average. Are there any chances of admission?

A:
Based on your SNAP percentile of 94, you have a good chance of getting shortlisted for SIBM Hyderabad. However, admission to SIBM Hyderabad is not solely based on your SNAP score and interview performance. The final admission decision is based on various factors, including academic performance, work experience (if any), extracurricular activities, diversity, and the overall profile of the candidate. So, while your interview performance was average, it is still possible that you may be offered admission based on other factors that the institute considers important. However, it ultimately depends on the cut-off scores and the number of seats available for the course you have applied for. It is best to wait for the final admission decision from SIBM Hyderabad and consider backup options in case you are not offered admission.

Q:   Is there any cut-off for admission through SNAP?

A:
Yes, each institute releases Symbiosis National Aptitude Test cut-off marks for admission, on the basis of which students are screened for Group Exercise, Personal Interaction, and Writing Aptitude Tests. The candidates have to fill out an online form released after the release of the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test scorecard to be eligible for the second round of Symbiosis International University Master of Business Administration admission the Group Exercise, Personal Interaction, and Writing Aptitude Test. For more information, you may visit the Shiksha Symbiosis National Aptitude Test exam page. (https://www.shiksha.com/mba/snap-exam). I hope this will help you.

Q:   When will SNAP 2024 cut off be announced?

A:

The date of SNAP cut off announcement is never communicated by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, as the selection process is conducted by the constituent institutes individually. However, it has been seen over the years that the SNAP cut off are released about a week after exam result declaration. The SNAP cut offs are available through login at the websites of SIU institutes as candidates who pass the SNAP exam, have to fill the personal interview form based on their score and college cut off. The SNAP cut off usually ranges between 55-98 percentile. The cut offs for SIMB Pune is the highest every year and the cut offs for SIHS Pune is the lowest.

The GE/PIWAT will be conducted at various locations in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. To crack GE/PIWAT candidates must practice public speaking and be updated with current affairs.

  • In GE, candidates will be grouped in batches and each batch will be given a case to discuss and come up with solution viz Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, and Operations. The candidates will be given 20 minutes to discuss and present the solution.
  • The WAT is an essay writing test, where candidates will be given a topic to write a short passage on. They will be required to write down their thoughts on the topic succinctly in about 100-200 words. The time allocated to this will be 5-10 minutes.
  • In the PI round, the candidates will have to go through a personal interview with a panel of academics. The questions will range from hobbies to future plans.
