The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) certification provides proof of your ability to design, implement and manage SQL Server 2000 databases. Although this certification was retired on 30 September 2012, if you achieved the MCDBA certification before that date, it will still appear on your transcript as a legacy certification.
Since the course has been expired, you can take up a similar course from various learning platforms. For a similar course like MCDBA, you can consider the Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator Associate (MCADAA) certificate that also implements and manages the operational aspects of cloud-native and hybrid data platform solutions built with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure Data Services. The course prepares you to perform day-to-day operations by applying knowledge of T-SQL and using a variety of methods and tools.
