NBE will be holding FMGE 2021 exam for the June session on Friday, June 18, 2021. The exam is conducted to provide licence to practice in India. Those who have graduated from medical institutes outside India will have to clear the FMGE 2021 exam to register themselves with the National Medical Commission (NMC)/State Medical Council (SMC). The exam will be conducted in online mode in two-shifts, one from 9 am to 11:30 am, and the other from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

In an official notification, NBE issued exam-day guidelines comprising covid-19 precautionary measures. FMGE 2021 exam would be conducted with measures like social distancing, face masks, staggered entry and exit, and isolation labs, the NBE announced. FMGE 2021 Covid-19 guidelines

NBE released covid related protective measures for the exam day. Some of the guidelines have been mentioned below:

Social Distancing: The total number of test centres and seats have been increased in order to minimise the travel needs of the candidates and reduce the number of candidates at one centre.

COVID e pass: FMGE 2021 admit card have covid e pass to facilitate movement of the candidates in case of any travel-related restrictions.

Staggered entry: There is a provision of staggered entry at FMGE 2021 exam centres to avoid crowding at the test venue entry. Candidates have been communicated individually through emails and SMS about staggered time slot.

Negative COVID report: Candidates need to bring and submit a negative report of COVID-19 RT-PCR/RAT/CBNAAT/TrueNAT test done within 72 hours prior to the examination date (not earlier than 15th June 2021).NBE has made it mandatory for those appearing for the exam.

Isolation labs: Temperature of candidates with covid negative report will also be checked at the entry point through thermo guns. Those with above normal temperature will be allowed to take the examination at isolation labs.

Face mask compulsory: Wearing face mask is compulsory. Candidates will not be permitted to enter at test centres without appropriate protective face mask.

Staggered exit of candidates: After the examination, candidates will be allowed to leave the centre in a staggered manner which will be communicated by the respective centre in-charges in order to avoid crowding at the test venue exit.

FMGE 2021 guidelines for candidates

Candidates who will be appearing for the FMGE 2021 exam tomorrow, need to follow the below-mentioned instructions at the exam centre:

  • Candidates must follow the time schedule as per the information brochure and FMGE admit card
  • Entry won’t be allowed after 8:30 am for part 1 and 1:30 pm for Part II
  • Barred items like electronic devices must not be carried at or inside centres
  • Involving in unfair means may lead to cancellation of candidature
  • Candidates should check FMGE admit card for the list of barred items
  • FMGE admit card must have a photo pasted on it

What to carry

Candidates must carry the below-mentioned things with them at the FMGE exam centre:

  • FMGE 2021 admit card

  • Covid-19 negative report

  • Original photo ID proof (PAN card/ Driving license/Voter ID/Passport)

What not to carry

Following items are prohibited at the centre:

  • Stationery items: Items like calculator, pen, writing pad, eraser
  • Electronic devices: Mobile phones, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, wristwatch, scanner and pen drives
  • Ornaments: Bracelets, ring, earring, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, brooches
  • Eatable items: Packed food, soft drinks, water bottles
  • Others: Wallets, goggles, belt, caps etc
