The NEET 2024 re-revised scorecard has been released by the National Testing Agency on July 26, 2024. The scorecard has been revised based on the Supreme Court verdict given on July 23, 2024. As per the last and final hearing on various NEET 2024 petitions. Based on an IIT Delhi report, the NEET 2024 controversial Physics question, which had two correct answers, was nullified. The apex court stated that the question had only one correct answer option, hence the bonus marks should be removed. On the other hand, candidates who answered the apparently second correct option, would be considered incorrect, hence, negative marking has been levied.

A:

The NEET result will be declared on the official websites of NTA and NEET. The URLs where the result or the scorecard of NEET 2025 will be available for download are as follows:

Q:   How should I check the NEET 2024 result?

A:

NEET 2024 result has to be checked in an online mode only. The step-by-step procedure to check and download the NEET 2024 result or scorecard.

  1. Visit the official website of NEET 2024 - exams.nta.ac.in/NEET
  2. Click on the tab indicating NEET 2024 Scorecard
  3. Log in with NEET 2024 application number and date of birth
  4. Download the NEET 2024 scorecard in PDF format.

Candidates must preserve the scorecard till the conclusion of their admission process.

Q:   I could not qualify NEET. Can I still download my NEET result?

A:
Yes, you will still be able to download the result of NEET by logging in to the official exam website. The scorecard will consist of information such as subject-wise and overall scores, percentiles and All India Rank, along with the qualifying cutoff or marks. In case a candidate does not qualify for NEET then he/she would not be able to participate in the counselling process. However, they may take admission to other courses conducting admission through NEET scores, for which counselling process is not conducted.

The NEET 2024 revised scorecard was released by NTA on July 1, 2024, along with the declaration of the NEET 2024 re-exam result. Registered candidates can download the NEET scorecard 2024 by visiting the official website of the exam and logging in with their NEET 2024 Application Number and date of birth. NTA released NEET 2024 result for each exam centre on July 20, 2024, based on the Supreme Court order given during the hearing dated July 18, 2024.

Q:   Can I apply for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER, Puducherry on the basis of the NEET result?

Yes, AIIMS and JIPMER conduct admissions on the basis of NEET result or scores. After the implementation of the NMC ACT NEET is the sole entrance examination for admission to UG medical courses in India. Earlier, AIIMS and JIPMER used to conduct their own entrance exams which were scrapped in 2020. The admission to these institutes will be done through the counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats.

NTA announces the NEET result or scorecard download information on the official exam website. Various media portals and social media platforms also announce the declaration of results. Test takers are advised to keep a check on the official websites as well as opt for notifications or alerts at the news and social media platforms to get instantly notified about the declaration of NEET result. Moreover, they also get the NEET result information from their teachers or peers. 

Q:   When did NTA release the NEET 2024 result?

A:

NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. In this scorecard, the score has been revised as per the Supreme Court verdict of removing the bonus marks awarded earlier for the controversial Physics question, and deducting one mark from those who marked incorrect answer options. The city and centre-wise result data such as number of candidates appeared and scores obtained, by masking candidates' personal data was released on July 21, as per the Supreme Court order given on the hearing dated July 18, 2024. The NEET 2024 result for the re-exam, which was conducted on June 23, was declared on July 1, day day after the slated date. The final answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released by June 30, ahead of the result declaration. Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores. 

Q:   What is the validity of the NEET scorecard?

A:

NEET score card is valid for admission to the current academic session only. NEET 2024 result cannot be carried forward for admission to the 2025-26 academic session. Hence, in case a candidate fails to qualify for NEET 2024 or unable to take admission in that academic year, then they have to appear for NEET next year and seek admission. Beyond a year, the NEET scorecard will just be another document or a record to prove the appearance in NEET.

Q:   How can I take admission to BSc nursing course in a government college through NEET result? I scored 183 and belong to the OBC category.

A:

To take admission to BSc Nursing course in a government college through NEET result, you need to be passed Class 12 Board exam with PCB subjects and scored at least 40 per cent marks in the Board exam, which is the eligibility criterion for the OBC category.

You also need to have qualified the NEET exam with a minimum of 40 per cent marks. You can apply for admission through the NEET counselling process. With a NEET score of 183, you may be able to get admission to a government college in the later rounds of counselling.

What After the Release of NEET Scorecard 2024?

NEET 2024 scorecard is a crucial document and must be preserved properly till the admission process is completed in both hard and soft copies. After downloading the NEET scorecard 2024, candidates should take a couple of printouts.

The NEET 2024 scorecard should be carried to the NEET 2024 counselling document verification an institute reporting rounds. Candidates may also preserve the NEET scorecard 2024 even after taking admission to a medical college of their choice.

NEET 2024 exam was conducted on May 5, 2024, in 571 cities across India and abroad.
