NEET PG 2023 exam day guidelines can be divided into pre-exam, during exam and post-exam. Go through the points given below to know the important dos and don’ts for the exam day. NEET PG 2023 will be held online in a single shift. The exam will begin at 9 am and conclude at 12: 30 pm.

NEET PG 2023 Exam Day Guidelines: Before The Exam

Paste a passport-sized photograph on the admit card

Size of the photograph must be 35x45 mm and at least 75% of the photograph must be covered by the candidate’s face and head. It must have a white background and there must be a caption with the name of the candidates and the date on which the photograph was snapped at the bottom.

Three things you must carry on the exam day

  • Printout of the NEET PG 2023 admit card with a passport-sized photograph pasted on it
  • Photocopy of permanent/ provisional MCI/ SMC registration
  • An original, valid and non-expired photo Id proof (Driving licence, voter Id, PAN card, Aadhar card, passport, etc)
  • Candidates are allowed to carry face masks, gloves, and hand sanitiser amid COVID-19

If you decide to carry an e-Aadhaar

Ensure that the numbers printed are clearly visible. The photograph must not have any scratches or stains and should match with the candidate.

In case of a name change

If a candidate’s name has changed during this period, due to any reasons (marriage/ divorce/ any other reason), he/ she must carry the relevant document (Marriage Certificate/ Divorce decree/ legal name change document) on the exam day.

Things you must not carry on NEET PG 2023 exam day

  • Mobile phone or any other electronic device, including wristwatches and calculator
  • Stationary items, including pen, pencil, eraser, writing pad, books, etc.
  • Ornaments or jewellery
  • Packed or home-cooked eatables, soft drinks or water bottle
  • Bags, pouches, wallet, cap, belt, etc.

Report to the exam centre on time

Remember that entry inside the exam hall will close at 8:30 am. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall post 8:30 am. Candidates are thus advised to reach the exam centre well in advance as to avoid last-minute hassles.

After reporting to the exam centre a candidate has to undergo the following

  • Id verification and thumb impression
  • Capturing a digital image
  • Frisking and other security procedures

NEET PG 2023 Exam Day Guidelines: After The Exam

Keep safe the admit card

NEET PG admit card is an important document and candidates will have to submit it during the counselling process. Thus, candidates appearing for NEET PG 2023 are advised to keep the admit card safe till the admissions for this year are closed. NBE had released NEET PG 2023 admit card on February 27.

NEET PG 2023 Exam Day Guidelines: Other Important Instructions

  • Candidates need to follow COVID-19 guidelines that include following social distancing norms and wearing a face mask at the centre and exam hall
  • They will be checked at the entry point for fever with the thermo guns and in case any candidate is having more above normal temperature, he/she will be asked to appear for the exam in a separate isolation lab
  • Indian Citizens/OCI who have qualified Foreign Medical Graduate Examination should bring their original FMGE Pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead 
  • Candidates without any valid ID proof shall not be allowed to enter the examination premises
  • Those reporting late or beyond the prescribed time shall not be allowed to appear in the exam under any circumstances
  • The reporting counter will close 30 minutes prior to the test start time
  • Finger Biometrics of candidates shall be captured at the time of registration for the test at the test venue
  • No rough paper for any rough work or pen shall be provided at the centre
  • Any suspicious or disruptive behaviour on part of the candidate may lead to the cancellation of candidature
