JEST Application Form 2025: Check Eligibility, Syllabus, and Other Details

Applicants who want to fill the JEST 2024 online form should note that Normally exam conducting authorities offer 30 days of time to fill the application form. Since this year exam conducting authorities have changed, hence the process may change.

JEST application form start date was January 5 and last date was January 31, 2024. 

Earlier the last date to apply was January 24, 2024 but then it was extended. 

Here are the typical application fee details for JEST:

1. General and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: The application fee for General and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates was around INR 400 to INR 500. Please note that this fee amount may vary from year to year.

2. SC/ST and Physically Challenged (PH) Candidates: SC/ST and Physically Challenged (PH) candidates usually received a reduced application fee, which was typically around INR 200 to INR 250. Again, the fee amount can change, so it's essential to check the latest fee details on the official JEST website.

3. Female Candidates: In some years, there were concessions for female candidates, with a reduced application fee similar to SC/ST and PH candidates.

Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), the examination conducting body for JEST 2024 examination, released the JEST 2024 online application form on January 5, 2024. Aspiring preaparing for JEST 2024 examination must check their eligibility criteria before applying for JEST 2024 application form.

The application fee for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is non-refundable in nature. Once a candidate paid the application fee and submitted the application, it was generally not refunded under normal circumstances, even if the candidate did not appear for the exam or if they did not qualify for admission.

However, it's important to note that policies and procedures can change, and different examination authorities may have varying rules regarding fee refunds.

Candidates can go through the steps that they need to follow to successfully fill and submit the application form for the JEST 2024 exam. 

Step 1: Create a Registration ID: To fill JEST 2024 application form aspirants need to provide their Email ID, password, name and date of birth.

Step 2: Fill Details in JEST Application Form: After candidates verify their email ID, the site will lead to the application form for the JEST exam.

Step 3: Upload Important Documents: Aspirants need to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature in their Joint Entrance Screening Test application form.

Step 4: Pay JEST Application Fee: Aspirants can pay the application fee for the JEST exam online through a Debit card/Credit card and net banking. Any other payment mode will not be accepted.

Step 5: Submit & Print JEST Application Form

The authorities have prescribed certain criteria and parameters to accept images for JEST 2024 application form. The maximum size for both photograph and signature should be 100 kb maximum.

While the dimensions for photographs should be Minimum: 100 X 125 pixels, Maximum: 240 x 300 pixels (width x height) and for Signature it is Minimum: 100 X 125 pixels and Maximum: 150 x 30 pixels (width x height).

If a candidate fails to upload the application form not in this format then chances of accepting the application form are very rare even if their form will be accepted they won't be able to get admit card.

Knowing JEST 2024 application form fees before filling the form is a must for candidates. General candidates have to pay INR 800 as application fees while SC/ST male students need to pay INR 400 and female candidates from SC/ST community don't need to pay anything as fee, as they are completely exempted from paying any application fees.  

Students who fill the form and don't pay JEST application fees their application form will not be considered as complete and they won't be entitled to appear in JEST 2024 exam. 

The JEST 2024 application fee is paid after filling the form. Female candidates who belong to the SC/ST community need not to pay any penny while filling the form. Though female candidates other than SC/ST community need to pay a fee, that fee is INR 400 which is half of the fees paid by male applicants.

Since female participation in JEST exam is less in comparison to other exams hence exam conducting authorities offer relaxations to female applicants.

The authorities have provided two days time to modify/update the JEST application 2024. Applicants could do that from February 2 to 4, 2024 in online mode.  

Only those applicants who have successfully filled the application form were given time limit to update the details. After checking the details in application form the authorities will release the admit card of JEST 2024 in online mode only. 

The JEST 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on March 3.

The photograph and signature both should be of maximum 100 KB while the dimensions are different for both of them.
