Applicants who appeared in the JEST 2024 exam can check the JEST exam analysis 2024 in detail after the conclusion of the exam. IIST conducted the JEST exam on March 3, 2024 (Today), in offline mode across 38 centres.

Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) declared the result of JEST exam 2024 on March 26, 2024. So only those candidates who qualified the exam need to further apply in IITs, IISc, IISERs, NISER, etc. It is to be noted that students should apply to multiple institutions in order to take subjects and institutes of their choice.
Those who are undergraduate can apply for M.Sc and PhD integrated programmes while those who are post graduate can apply directly for PhD programmes.

JEST 2024 provisional answer key was released in online mode on the official website. The authorities released provisional answer key on March 5, 2024.
After releasing the answer key, authorities gave time to raise objections if they have in any question. After taking input from the students IIST will release the final answer key of JEST exam.

JEST Exam Pattern
Since last year exam pattern has changed and earlier there used to be three sections A, B, and C but last year there remained two sections only. There is no official information about this year's exam pattern, it can be the same as last year or change.
Applicants who will appear in the exam must be aware of the new JEST exam pattern to qualify for the exam. Along with checking the exam pattern, the applicant must be aware of the marking scheme from the table given below:

Q: Has the JEST Exam Pattern changed?
Yes this year both marking scheme as well as exam pattern was changed. There were three sections in the exam Part A, B and C.
The total number of questions were 50, 25 from Part A, 25 from Part B and 15 from Part C. The exam was conducted for total of 100 marks.
There was negative marking for Part A and B as Part C was descriptive in nature.
Q: What is new exam pattern for JEST 2024?
Though the final exam pattern of JEST 2024 will be out in new notification but according to previous year information there were only two sections from which questions were asked in JEST exam and overall marks are also changed. It is multiplied 3 times than previous exam pattern. There is one third negative marking for each incorrect answer as well.
JEST Cutoff 2024
After checking the analysis applicants are advised to check the JEST cutoff for previous year as well as the expected cutoff. It will help to predict the chances of qualifying the exam. Students can check the JEST expected cutoff 2024 in the table given below:

JEST cut off marks are the minimum marks that applicants need to secure to pass the JEST exam. The cutoff marks will be same for all the categories, hence the cutoff marks would not differ.
Based on the marks of the applicants the exam conducting authorities will release the merit list. Applicants who pass the exam will further need to appear in the counselling held by multiple institutes.
