Stages of IBPS PO 2023 Eligibility Criteria
IBPS PO eligibility is the most important factor in the recruitment process. The stages of IBPS PO eligibility criteria are given below:
IBPS PO Eligibility 2023: Nationality
Candidates should meet the following eligibility in terms of nationality:
- Citizenship of India
- Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee who arrived before January 1, 1962
- Indian origin person who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma (Myanmar), Vietnam or East African countries of the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, or Ethiopia for settling in India permanently
Candidates who are not Indian citizens are required to provide a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
IBPS PO Age Limit As on August 1, 2023
The age limit of candidates for IBPS PO should be between 20 and 30 years as on August 1, 2023. Candidates must have born not ealier than October 2, 1993, and not later than October 1, 2003 (both dates inclusive). The minimum and maximum age limit of IBPS PO is given below.

The educational qualification of IBPS PO is given below:
- Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
- Candidates must possess a valid marksheet/degree certificate on the day they register for the exam. Candidates need to enter the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online
- Candidates in the final year/final semester of examination cannot apply for the exam
- All educational qualification should be from a university/institution/board recognised by the Government of India/approved by government regulatory bodies and the final result should have been declared
- The fraction of percentage arrived is ignored. For eg: 54.99 per cent is treated as less than 55 per cent and 59.99 per cent is treated as less than 60 per cent
- All the educational qualifications should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or before August 21, 2023
- Proper document from Board/University for having declared the result on or before August 21, 2023 has to be submitted at the time of interview
Category-wise IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria for EWS
Candidates who do not fall under the existing scheme of reservations given to SC, ST, OBC and whose family income is below Rs 8 lakh are eligible for EWS benefits
The income shall include income from all sources, i.e. salary, agriculture, business, profession, etc.
The family that possesses the following assets is not included under this category:
- 5 acres of Agricultural Land and above
- Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. and above
- Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities
- Residential plot of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities
IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria for PWD
As per the Government of India norms, persons with benchmark disabilities are eligible for reservation under section 34 of ‘The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016’
The categories of disabilities eligible to avail reservation under the Act are as follows:
- Deaf and hard of hearing
- Blindness and low vision
- Intellectual disability, autism, mental illness, and specific learning disability
- locomotor disability including leprosy cured, cerebral palsy, dwarfism, muscular dystrophy, and acid attack victims
People with benchmark disabilities will be allocated the reserved vacancies as prescribed in the ‘The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016' and as per vacancies reported to IBPS by participating banks.
Guidelines for PWD using Scribe
The visually impaired candidates and whose writing speed are adversely affected permanently for any reason can use scribe at their own cost. Such candidates are provided a compensatory time of 20 minutes.
Guidelines for Locomotor Disability
Candidates with 40 per cent locomotor disability and cerebral palsy are given a compensatory time of 20 minutes/hr.

The Visually Impaired candidates suffering from 40 per cent or more disability may opt to view the contents of the question paper in magnified font and will be eligible for compensatory time of 20 min/hr otherwise advised.
Guidelines for Intellectual Disability
Candidates are provided a compensatory time of 20 min/hr of the exam only if they have then 40 per cent Intellectually Disability (mentally ill, Autistic or have Specific Learning Disability) irrespective of availing the Scribe services.
IBPS PO Salary
The initial in-hand IBPS PO salary is INR 52,000 to 55,000 with dearness allowances, special allowances, HRA, and other perks. The IBPS PO Gross Salary is around INR 57,000 and after a deduction, the net in-hand salary remains around INR 52,000 to 55,000.
