The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducted IBPS PO mains exam on November 26. According to IBPS PO mains exam analysis, the overall difficulty level of the objective paper was moderate to difficult. The Reasoning & Computer Aptitude section was moderate, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness section was easy to moderate, English Language section was easy and Data Analysis & Interpretation section was moderate to difficult. The descriptive paper, which carried questions from Letter Writing and Essay, was easy to moderate. Candidates who did not carry their prelims admit card were not allowed to appear for the exam.

IBPS PO mains exam was conducted for 3 hours 30 minutes. There were also sectional time limits for the mains exam. The total marks allotted to the test are 225. Based on the performance in the mains exam, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview. IBPS PO Mains Exam Analysis 2022 & Student Reaction

Shiksha visited one of the IBPS PO mains exam centres in Jharkhand to gather the feedback from students regarding the overall difficulty level of the exam. The feedback shared by students is given below:

Aditya said, “GA section was easy to moderate. I have attempted 29 questions in GA with accuracy. Questions were asked from September and October current affairs. Questions were asked from RBI guidelines, SEBI guidelines, Integrated Ombudsmen. There were no questions on G20, budget and sports. There were one to two questions from Static GK. There were three to four questions from banking awareness. The essay topic in the descriptive paper was based on angel investors, and why education is important for economy. We were asked to write a complaint letter to branch manager. The RC topic was based on the inflation scenario in America after COVID.”

Yogesh Kumar Singh said, “The Maths paper was difficult. There were questions from DI, Arithmetic, etc. In Reasoning, two to three questions were easy. English and the descriptive sections were easy.”

Nitesh Kumar said, “Compared to last year the paper was tough. The Reasoning and Maths sections were tough. English and GA sections were easy. There were questions on uncertain puzzles.”

Aniket said, “The mains paper of IBPS PO 2022 was difficult compared to last year. The English section was easy and Quant section was moderate to difficult.”

Sushant said, “The level of IBPS PO mains paper was good. The Quant was difficult whereas English and Reasoning sections were moderate. There was some new pattern of questions that were not there in the previous year’s mains paper.”
