The Staff Selection Commission will mention the SSC MTS & Havaldar 2024 educational requirements in the official notification. The Commission will mention the SSC MTS age limit and the SSC MTS Havaldar age limit separately in the official notification. The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC MTS & Havaldar notification 2024 on May 7, 2024, on its official website - ssc.gov.in. Here the candidates can check all the important eligibility conditions such as the educational qualification, age limit and relaxations provided by the Commission.

SSC MTS Eligibility 2024: The Staff Selection Commission will mention all the SSC MTS age limit, age relaxation and the required educational qualifications in the official notification. The Commission will mention all the eligibility criteria in the official notification. The candidates should ensure that they fulfil all the SSC MTS eligibility conditions before filling out the SSC MTS applications 2024. The last date to apply for the SSC MTS exam 2024 will be June 6, 2024. The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC MTS exam 2024 in July/August 2024

The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC MTS & Havaldar 2024 notification on May 7, 2024. The candidates are suggested to read the official notification to understand the age criteria and the age relaxation provided in the SSC MTS exam for their category. The candidates can see here the SSC MTS 2024 eligibility conditions to apply for the SSC MTS exam. The candidates should note that the cutoff date for all the educational and other certificated required for the exam, will be the last date for SSC MTS application. The Commission is expected to club the Havaldar posts with the official SSC MTS notification and it added additional eligibility conditions for the Havaldar posts. Q:   Was the SSC MTS paper 2 qualifying?

A:

The candidates should note that the Staff Selection Commission has removed the SSC MTS paper 2 from the exam process and made changes in the SSC MTS exam pattern. The Commission revised the SSC MTS syllabus for paper 1 to accommodate such changes. The SSC MTS result is prepared based on the marks obtained in paper 1 and subjec to clearing the PET/PST.

The Commission also removed the Document Verification process from the recruitment process and now the document verification will be carried out at the indented department. SSC MTS 2023 exam (Paper 1)is expected to be conducted from September 1 to 29.

The SSC MTS paper 2 was qualifying only when it existed in the exam process.

Q:   Is typing test compulsory for SSC MTS Exam?

A:

No, there is no typing test required in the SSC MTS exam. There is no skill test mentioned in the official SSC MTS notification. SSC MTS paper 2 was a descriptive test which is qualifying only.The candidates are required to undergo the PET/PST conducted by the designated authority.

The Staff Selection Commission removed the paper 2 from the exam process and there is no typing test included in the SSC MTS Exam Pattern.

 

Q:   What is the minimum percentage required to qualify in the SSC MTS Tier 1 Exam?

A:

The Staff Selection Commission mentioned the minimum qualifying marks that will render the candidates eligible for selection in the SSC MTS exam. These minimum marks are required to get eligible for the selection. The Commission released the percentage required to get eligible for selection:

SSC MTS Educational Qualification Required

The candidates can see here the educational qualification required for the SSC MTS exam as mentioned in the official advertisement.

  • To apply online, the candidate must have passed the Matriculation exam or equivalent from a recognised board.
  • The candidates who have passed the matriculation in a distance learning mode/open university shall also be eligible for the exam.
  • The candidates who are appearing in the matriculation can also apply, but they need to get the certificate by the cutoff date. Each notification provides a cutoff date for the educational qualification.

SSC MTS Age Limit

The candidates must fall in a certain age group to apply for the SSC MTS exam 2024. The commission mentions the lower and upper age limit for the candidates. The SSC MTS age limit is defined as below:

The candidates should note that the date of birth as mentioned on the Matriculation certificate will be deemed final and no plea to consider the date of birth mentioned in other documents will be entertained. 

Q:   What are the PET/PST requirement in SSC MTS Exam?

A:

The Commission conducts the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) for the Havaldar post. The Commission mentions the requirements for the PET/PST in the official notification. Besides this, the commission also mentions that some categories of PwD are exempted from PET/PST. There is Walking event in the SSC MTS PET. In SSC MTS PST exam, the Commission mentions the physical measurements related to the male and female candidates. Cycling is removed from the PET.

The SSC MTS PET/PST is conducted by the designated authority nominated by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Q:   How many attempts are there in SSC MTS?

A:

SSC MTS exam is conducted online only as the Computer-Based Exam (CBE). The Commission conducts the SCS MTS exam every year to recruit candidates for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). The Commission does not mention any limit to the number of attempts. The candidates can appear for the exam any number of times till they fulfil the age criteria. The Commission also provide age relaxation to the reserved category candidates.

Q:   Can the candidates appearing in Matriculation, apply for the SSC MTS exam?

A:

Candidates who are appearing in their matriculation exam can apply for the SSC MTS exam, but they must ensure that they fulfill the age requirement as mentioned in the official notification. However, it is advised that such candidates should not apply for the exam, as they may not be able to produce their matriculation certificate at the time of document verification. The Commission will release the admit card only to those candidates who have uploaded their matriculation certificate during the application process.

Therefore, it is recommended that candidates who are appearing in their matriculation exam should wait for the results and then apply for the SSC MTS exam.

Q:   What is the height requirement for SSC MTS exam?

A:

A: The Commission mention the height requirement for the SSC MTS exam as follows: For Male candidates:

Q:   What is SSC MTS eligibility?

A:

The educational qualification required to apply for the SSC MTS 2024 exam is Matriculation only. The candidates who have passed the Class Xth can apply for the exam. The candidates appearing in Class X can also apply for the exam but they need to provide their Class X pass Certificate during the document verification process having date prior to the last date of application. Beside that, the candidates must have attained 18 years of age.

The Commission also added the Havaldar posts in the official SSC MTS notification making it SSC MTS and Havaldar examination. The education qualification required for the Havaldar post is matriculation only.

The reservation to agniveers is not announced in SSC MTS and Havaldar exams.

SSC MTS Havaldar - Physical Requirement

The Commission prescribes the following physical requirements for the SSC MTS exam. The Commission conducts the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) after the Paper 2. The candidates who opted for the Havaldar post are required to appear for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Both the PET/PST and DME are conducted by a designated authority other than SSC. The Commission prescribes the following requirements for the SSC MTS PET/PST.

The Commission prescribes separate height requirements for male and female candidates in the following manner:

For Male candidates:

The above requirements were amended by a Corrigendum later after the conduct of exam.

SSC MTS PET Requirement For Havaldar Post

The Commission mention the following requirement to be fulfilled by the candidates and it would be tested during the SSC MTS PET:

Walking 1600 meters in 15 minutes. 1 Km in 20 minutes
Cycling 8 Kms. in 30 minutes 3 Kms. in 25 minutes

Cycling is not applicable for the post of Havaldar in DGPM, CBIC.
The above conditions are expected to be changed and can be the reason behind the delay of notification. 

SSC MTS Eligibility 2024 FAQs

Q: Does SSC MTS have physical test?

A:  Yes, the SSC MTS exam has a Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) after the paper 2. The SSC MTS PET/PST is a qualifying exam and the candidates need to qualify for the exam. No marks are awarded in the PET/PST. The SSC MTS PET/PST is conducted by the designated authority other than Staff Selection Commission. 

Q: Does MTS have typing test?

A: No, SSC MTS does not have typing or skill test. The candidates are required to appear and qualify in the paper 2 and PET/PST exam. The marks secured in the SSC MTS paper 1 are considered for the final merit list. The SSC MTS result is released based on the marks secured in the SSC MTS paper 1 and the bonus marks awarded in the DV stage.

Q: What is SSC MTS qualification?

A: The official notification mention that the essential qualification for the SSC MTS exam is matriculation. The candidates must have obtained the certificate or marksheet of the essential qualification before the cutoff date that is the last date of SSC MTS application.
