The CUET PG 2023 examination is undergoing for admissions to PG courses in Universities (central, state, deemed, private) across the country. CUET PG 2023 examination commenced on June 5, 2023, and will conclude on June 17, 2023. CUET PG 2023 Chemistry paper was scheduled on June 6, 2023. The CUET PG Chemistry exam was scheduled in the second slot of the second day of CUET PG 2023 Examination (June 6, 2023). According to the student reactions and the expert reviews, the difficulty level of the CUET PG Chemistry Question paper was moderately tough.

Q:   When will CUET PG 2024 students response sheet releasing?

A:

NTA is yet to announce the official dates for the release of CUET PG 2025 students response sheet. Candidates will be able to download the CUET PG 2025 student response sheet from the official website either on March 3, 2025, or March 5, 2025, tentatively. 

As per the previous-year trends, the exam officials released the CUET PG 2025 student response sheet along with CUET PG 2025 provisional answer key. The student response sheet will carry the subject questions and the answers marked by the candidates in the CUET PG 2025 examination.  

Q:   Is it compulsory to attempt all the sections of the CUET PG 2024 question paper?

A:

NTA, National Testing Agency is the examination conducting body of CUET PG examination. The exam syllabus, structure of the examination is set by the NTA for the ongoing academic session. 

On the basis of previous year's trends it is highly expected that NTA will set the CUET PG 2024 structure in such a way that the examination will have 2 sections to be attempted by the candidates. The section I of the examintion will be General Aptitude specific and Section II will be subject domain specific which depends upon the subject choose by the candidates while filling up the CUET PG 2024 examination. There is no complusion in attempting any question asked in the examination. However, it is being advised not to attempt the questions for which candiates are not sure about their answer. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer marked by the candidates.

Q:   How many questions are asked in section A of CUET PG examination?

A:

There are "25 questions" asked in Section 1 of the CUET PG exam. This section is compulsory for all candidates and consists of questions on General English, General Hindi, General Knowledge and Reasoning Ability.

The General English questions will test your understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. The General Knowledge questions will cover a wide range of topics, including history, geography, current affairs, and science.

General Ability questions will cover topics like time, distance, average, mensuration, geometry, profit -loss etc.

There is no sectional timing for attempting these questions. Candidates are required to answer all 25 questions. There is  negative marking for incorrect answers.

Here is the analysis given for both Sections A and B of the CUET PG 2023 Chemistry Test which was conducted on June 6, 2023. 

Section A 

The section 1 of the examination was general paper was found to be easy to moderate to solve. The main topics from which questions in Section A asked were:

Q:   Why CUET PG previous year's question papers are important?

A:

CUET PG previous year's question papers are important for several reasons. Some of the reasons are mentioned below:

a) To Get Familiar with Exam Pattern: Solving the previous year's question papers helps candidates to get familiar with the exam pattern, types of questions, and difficulty level of the exam. This can help them to prepare effectively and improve their chances of scoring well in the exam.

B) To Identify Important Topics: By solving the previous year's question papers, candidates can identify the important topics that are frequently asked in the exam. This can help them to prioritize their preparation and focus on the topics that are more likely to be asked in the exam.

 C) To Boosts Confidence: Solving the previous year's question papers can help candidates to build confidence and reduce exam anxiety. It can also help them to develop a strategy for time management and improve their speed and accuracy in solving the questions.

D) Practice and Revision: Solving the previous year's question papers can help candidates to practice and revise the concepts they have learned. This can help them to reinforce their understanding of the subject and identify areas where they need to improve.

Q:   What are the type of questions asked in CUET PG exam?

A:

The type of questions in the CUET PG 2025 exam will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question will have four answer options, and candidates will have to select the correct answer.

The questions in the exam will be based on the syllabus for the subjects that candidates have chosen. The syllabus for each subject is available on the NTA website.

Q:   How many questions are asked in Section B of the CUET PG exam?

A:

There are 75 questions asked in Section 2 of the CUET PG exam. This section contains domain-specific questions on the subject that you have chosen.

For example, if you have chosen the subject of English Literature, then Section 2 will contain questions on topics such as British Literature, American Literature, Indian Writing in English, and Literary Theory.

The questions in Section 2 are all multiple-choice questions, and you will be given 2 hours to complete the section A and Section B.

Q:   When should I start solving the CUET PG previous year's question paper?

A:

It is advisable to start solving CUET PG question papers as part of your exam preparation at least 4-5 months before the exam date. This will give you sufficient time to practice and revise the concepts you have learned and develop a strategy for time management and improving your speed and accuracy.

Solving the previous year questions paper will give the idea about the topics in which on's preparation is lacking.You can also use the CUET PG question papers to identify the important topics and prioritize your preparation accordingly. It is important to solve the CUET PG question papers in a simulated environment, similar to the actual exam, to get a realistic experience. You should also time yourself while solving the question papers to improve your speed and accuracy and develop a strategy for managing time during the actual exam. Therefore, starting to solve CUET PG question papers early in your preparation and gradually increasing the difficulty level can help you to improve your chances of success in the exam.

Section B

Coming to Section B analysis of the chemistry paper, as per the student's review the CUET PG 2023 Chemistry exam was found to be moderately difficult. Candidates can expect a lower cut-off as compared to last year's cut-off. Questions were asked from physical chemistry, organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry. Many of the questions that were asked in the examination had the analytical approach to answer the questions. Very few questions were direct from the organic and inorganic chemistry like finding out the angular momentum, naming reactions or acidic, and the basic nature of the chemical compounds. CUET PG 2023 examination is conducted online or in computer mode from June 6 to June 17, 2023. Due to this reason candidates were not given the CUET 2023 question papers to get carried out from the exam centre. NTA is yet to upload the CUET 2023question papers. The CUET PG 2023 examination is proposed to be held in 37 shifts in total. There are three shifts each day for a duration of two hours at each slot. The CUET 2023 exam centres are located in over 245 cities across India and abroad for phase 1 for CUET PG 2023 examination. CUET PG 2023 is scheduled to be held from June 5, 2023 to June 17, 2023 for admissions to various PG courses in the participating universities across the nation. NTA has rescheduled CUET PG 2023 examination for 60 courses to another shift and day.
