This year, authorities have increased the application fee for CUET PG 2024 for all category candidates. Applicants are advised to check the detailed notification and also know how to fill CUET PG 2024 application form. Along with this, the exam centres have decreased to 300 now in India. The total number of exam centres across the world is 324. It is a highly competitive exam and candidates appearing for the exam need to have a strategy and aim to score well and qualify. Applicants must have an idea about the CUET PG course list and subjects from which questions can be asked. The detailed description is mentioned below.  

Q:   What is the difficulty level of the CUET exam?

A:

The difficulty level of the CUET exam ranges from moderate to tough. Since the CUET UG exam is held for multiple subjects and slots, the difficulty level of the exam varies from subject to subject. Sometimes, the difficulty level may also vary for different slots. The difficulty level of exam is also relative and the same exam's level of difficulty may vary for different candidates. While for the well prepared candidates, the difficulty level will be low, for the underprepared students, the level of difficulty will be on the higher side. 

Q:   How can I prepare in these last days of preparation of CUET?

A:

Preparing for an exam like CUET requires a strategic approach. Here are a few tips that can help you prepare effectively in these last days of preparation:

  1. Revise the syllabus: Make sure you have covered all the topics that are part of the syllabus. Go through each topic once again to ensure that you have a good understanding of all the concepts.
  2. Practice previous years' question papers: Solving previous years' question papers can give you an idea about the type of questions that can be asked in the exam. It can also help you identify your weak areas and work on them. 
  3. Take mock tests: Mock tests can help you simulate the exam environment and give you an idea of your preparation level. You can also use them to practice time management.
  4. Focus on your weak areas: Identify your weak areas and work on them. Spend more time on topics that you find difficult to understand.
  5. Stay calm and confident: It's important to stay calm and confident during the exam. Avoid last-minute cramming and trust your preparation.
  6. Take breaks: Taking regular breaks can help you stay fresh and focused. Take short breaks after every hour or so of study.
  7. Get enough rest: Make sure you get enough sleep in the last few days before the exam. A good night's sleep can help you stay alert and focused during the exam.

Q:   Is the CUET exam conducted in online mode?

A:

From the year 2021 onwards, CUET is conducted in computer-based mode. Till 2020, the exam was conducted in paper-pencil based (PBT) mode. The exam will continue to be conducted in the computer-based mode or online mode. As per the CUET exam pattern, the exam was conducted in two to three slots, depending on the number of applications received in a subject. There were three sections on Language, Domain Subject and General Test (optional). The number of questions and marks will vary from paper to paper.

The entire application process for CUET (PG) 2024 is online, including uploading scanned images/documents, payment of fees, and printing of Confirmation Page, Admit Card, etc. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/ submit any document(s) including the Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/ Fax/ WhatsApp/ Email/ by hand.

The CUET (PG) 2024 will be conducted in CBT mode in 02 shifts for admissions in the next academic session. The role of NTA is confined to the registration of candidates, the conduct of the test, hosting answer keys, inviting challenges, finalising Answer Keys, preparing and declaring results and hosting scorecards. A merit list will be prepared by participating Universities/ organisations. Universities may conduct their counselling based on the scorecard of CUET (PG)-2024 provided by NTA. CUET (PG) 2023 is conducted in English and Hindi (Bilingual) except for language and Sahitya papers.

Q:   In which courses can I secure admission through CUET?

A:

Through CUET, one can secure admission in various UG courses offered by 41 Central Universities, 36 State Universities, 29 Deemed Universities and 110 Private Universities and three other universities of India. The courses are offered across Science, Humanities, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Management and other streams. The number of participating institutes has increased exponentially this year.

Q:   Is 350 a good score in CUET UG for the Central University of Jammu?

A:

Central University of Jammu accepts CUET UG scores for admission to variou undergraduate and integrated courses. Central University of Jammu CUET UG cutoff 2023 has been released up to Round 5. CUET UG cutoff for Central University of Jammu ranged between 170.11 and 60. So, considering the previous year cutoff trends for Central University of Jammu, 350 is not a good score to get admission. Candidates can refer to the table given below to check out the previous year Round 1 CUET UG scores, which will give some idea for Central University of Jammu CUET first merit list: 

Q:   How difficult is it to crack the CUCET?

A:
Hi, the CUET exam is not difficult to crack. Based on the responses from the candidates who appeared in 2022 & 2023, the difficulty level of the exam ranges from easy to moderate, with occasional increased difficulty in a few subjects. The main thing to remember when preparing for CUET is to have a thorough understanding of the NCERTs and sufficient mock preparation. If you have these 2 in your arsenal, cracking CUET is not going to be difficult at all.

Q:   How do I prepare for CUET UG and Board examinations?

A:

The syllabus for CUET UG domain subjects will be based on class 12th to reduce the stress of preparing for both the exams. To prepare for CUET UG and Board examination, here are few important tips:

  • Start early preparation for CUET UG and board exams. This will give you enough time to cover the syllabus, practice the questions, and get familiar with the exam pattern.
  • Create a study plan: Once you are familiar with the syllabus for both exams, create a study plan that will help you cover all the topics in a systematic manner. Make sure to allocate enough time for each subject and topic.
  • Focus on the subjects that you are struggling with. Consider taking a few practice CUET UG tests to see where you stand.
  • Manage your time effectively. Practice answering questions under timed conditions so that you can get used to the pressure of the exam.
  • Use the right resources. There are many resources available to help you prepare for the CUET UG and board exams. These include NCERT textbooks, practice questions, and mock tests. Use the resources that work best for you and that will help you improve your knowledge and skills.

Q:   What is a good score in CUET UG?

A:

On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2024-25, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other top central universities in the desired course. Given below is the range that is considered good for admission to top universities:

  • Very Good Score: 700 and above
  • Good Score: 650 and above

Score range between 400-649 is considered an average score. Admission on the basis of the average score can et into any decent college in India accepting CUET scores.

CUET PG Question Paper Structure

Applicants can check the structure of CUET PG 2024 mentioned below which will help them to prepare in a better way before appearing in the exam. 

1. Candidates can choose a maximum of four question paper codes from the list mentioned above. 
2. The candidate can choose a General paper as a Subject. The comprehension part of these papers would be in English or Hindi language as chosen by the candidate during CUET PG 2024 registration.
4. The duration of the CUET PG exam will be 105 Minutes.
5. The Question paper will have 75 Questions.
6. Languages papers will be in the concerned language except Linguistic which would be in English.
7. M.Tech/Higher Sciences would be in English only.
8. Acharya Papers would be in Sanskrit except for Hindu Studies, Indian Knowledge System and Baudha Darshan.
9. Humanities, Sciences and Common papers would be bilingual (English & Hindi).
10. The syllabus for the question paper codes will be available on the website. 

 

CUET PG 2024 Marking Scheme

4 will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

No marks will be calculated for those questions which are left unanswered.

In case a question is dropped/omitted due to any technical error, then full marks will be given to everyone irrespective of the fact who has attempted it or not. 

The CUET PG (CUCET) syllabus 2024 will be the same as of graduation level and candidates can expect some questions with a higher analytical and practical approach. 

 

According to CUET PG important dates, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct CUET PG between March 11 to March 28, 2023. The application process was started on December 26, 2023, and the last date to apply for CUET PG 2024 application will be 25 January 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M.). There are two parts of the CUET PG exam including Part A- Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability, General Test (GK, QA, Analytical Skills) and Part B- Domain Knowledge.

NTA is facilitating all candidates with an additional platform of Umang and DigiLocker to download their documents like Confirmation Page, Admit Card, Score Cards, etc. Candidates are advised to visit the NTA Website and check their e-mails regularly for the latest updates.
