IIT JAM 2022 Analysis and Student Reactions – Slot 1
According to the test-takers who appeared for the forenoon slot of the exam, the difficulty level of IIT JAM 2022 was moderate to tough. The majority of the candidates had appeared for the Physics paper. While the difficulty level of Physics was moderate to tough, the Biotechnology subject was of easy difficulty level. On the other hand, the Mathematical Statistics subject was deemed to be tough by the candidates. Let us now take a look at the student reactions of IIT JAM 2022.
Amogh: I have attempted the Physics paper. The difficulty level was moderate. The questions covered almost all the topics such as Electromagnetic field and waves, Thermodynamics, Mechanics and Optics. The focus was more on the numerical questions.
Himanshu: I appeared for the Physics subject. As compared to last year, the difficulty level was a bit higher according to my analysis. There were questions on all important topics like Thermodynamics, Mechanics, Waves, Optics, Electromagnetics to name a few. Last year the questions were direct, but this year, the questions were not straightforward and it took some time to deduce the answers.
Latika: The Biotechnology paper that I had appeared for was of easy to moderate difficulty level. The questions were from different topics such as Physics, Chemistry, General Reasoning, etc. but the maximum questions were on Biology.
Simran: I have taken the Biotechnology paper which was of a moderate difficulty level. The exam was dominated by topics like Microscopy, Biology, Molecular Biotechnology and Biogenetics.
Harsh: I have opted for the Mathematical Statistics paper in Slot 1 and will take the Mathematics paper in Slot 2. I found the paper to be difficult and could not attempt questions as per my expectation. The questions were divided across several topics but the maximum questions were on Testing of Hypotheses and Classical Probability.
IIT JAM 2022 Analysis and Student Reactions – Slot 2
As per the student reactions of those who appeared in the afternoon slot, the exam was of easy to moderate difficulty level. While majority of the candidates appeared for Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics papers, there were very few candidates who opted for the Geology paper. The student reactions of IIT JAM 2022 Slot 2 are as follows:
Abhishek: I had appeared for the Mathematics paper. The difficulty level was medium. Some of the questions were time-consuming, but overall three hours was enough to complete the paper. Linear Algebra dominated the paper. Other topics included Partial Differential Equation, Calculus, Variables, and Group Theory among others.
Diksha: I took the Chemistry exam. The topics were mostly covered from Organic, Inorganic and Physical Chemistry chapters. The difficulty level of the questions was moderate. This was my first attempt.
Srishti: I took the Economics paper. The questions were completely Maths oriented whereas the ratio of Macro and Micro Economics was less in comparison. The topics of Statistics and Regression were also covered. The difficulty level of the exam was not tough and I would rate it five on a scale of 10. However, the major challenge was to sit continuously for three hours.
Diksha: My paper, which was on Economics, went very well. The topics covered were Macro Economics, Micro Economics, Statistics and Mathematics. Overall, it was a smooth experience and there was no technical glitch faced during the test.
