Important Instructions on IIT JAM 2025 Admit Card

Candidates need to read the below-mentioned instructions present on their admit card for the IIT JAM exam very carefully.

Aspirants need to carry their JAM admit card to their allotted test centre along with one photo ID. An original copy of the photo ID card needs to be carried by aspirants as a scanned copy of the photocopy will not be accepted. Photo ID cards that candidates can carry to their IIT JAM exam centre are- College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar-UID.
The print of the IIT JAM admit card has to be taken on an A4-size paper by using a colour laser printer (preferably). After taking a printout of the admit card, candidates need to ensure that their signature and photograph are clear.
Aspirants are advised to visit or locate their exam centre at least a day prior to the exam.
Candidates need to ensure that their fingertips do not have any coating (example: ink, mehndi, henna, or tattoo) as a biometric system of verification will be done on the exam day.
Aspirants need to report to their allotted IIT JAM exam centre at least 90 minutes before the exam starts for identity verification.
Candidates will be allowed to take the IIT JAM exam only after their credentials have been verified by JAM Officials.
Candidates will be allowed to sit at their allotted seat for IIT JAM 2025, 40 minutes before the exam is scheduled to start. Further, 20 minutes before the exam starts, candidates will be allowed to log in and read the exam instructions.
Candidates will not be able to log in 30 minutes after the exam has started.
