ICAR is the apex body that is trusted with the task of co-ordinating, guiding and conducting research as well as education in the field of agriculture (including horticulture, animal sciences and fisheries science) in the entire country.

ICAR admission process

Admission in the majority of the ICAR universities and institutes is offered on the basis of an aspirant’s performance in All India Entrance Examinations for Admission (AIEEA). ICAR AIEEA is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in UG, PG and PhD courses offered at agricultural universities.

The syllabus for both exams, NEET and ICAR is the same because both classes 11 and 12 syllabus is included for these entrance exam preparation . There is only one difference and that is the exam pattern. However, with practice one should be able to crack both exams.
