CUET PG 2025 Exam Duration

With the change in the CUET PG exam pattern (2024), the total duration of the exam has also changed. Earlier the maximum time or stipulated time for the candidates to attend the CUET PG exam was 2 hours. However, this year the exam authority has reduced the exam timing, which is now 105 minutes or 1 hour 45 minutes.

The implementation of the new Common University Entrance Test (CUET) format has brought significant changes to the PG exam, including a revised exam duration. This change has stirred up discussions amongst students and educators, prompting questions about its potential effects. So, let's delve into the new pattern and analyze its impact on the CUET PG exam duration.

Impact of the Changes on Exam Duration:

Positives:

  • Increased Efficiency: The reduced duration and question count could potentially improve test-taking efficiency. With fewer questions to tackle, candidates might spend less time reading each question and analyzing answers, leading to faster completion.
  • Reduced Pressure: For some students, the shortened exam might alleviate pressure and anxiety associated with longer tests. This could contribute to calmer test-taking environments and potentially fairer evaluations.
  • Focus on Quality: With fewer questions, the focus might shift towards quality over quantity. Questions can be designed to be more complex and thought-provoking, potentially testing deeper understanding rather than knowledge recall.
