CUET PG Result 2024 (Out): Check Download Link, Scorecard & Merit List

The NTA Score of CUET (PG) - 2024 will be valid for admission to the academic year 2024-24 only. Scores and candidate data would be shared with the University where he/she has applied.
The Score Card will contain marks awarded in the domain subject knowledge for each course. The university can draw the merit list based on the total score or only on the score achieved in Part I of the Domain Knowledge Section.

Evaluation of multiple-choice questions of all the Test Papers will be carried out using final answer keys and the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of CUET (PG) 2024. For multi-shift papers, raw (actual) marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score. 

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to download the CUET PG 2024 scorecard:

• Visit the official website of CUET PG 2024 – https://pgcuet.samarth.ac.in/ 

• Click on the link indicating CUET PG 2024 scorecard

• Since the result is yet to be announced, candidates can check the previous year's result preface from below 

• Log in with your CUET PG Application Number and Password or Date of Birth

• Enter the Security Pin and click on Submit

• Download CUET PG scorecard 2024

CUET PG 2024 Passing Marks are the set of marks upon which the test takers were able to get their names into the participating institutes of the CUET PG 2024 examination. If the candidates wants to know whether they have passed the CUET 2024 exam or not, they are required to check the cut-off marks released by the participating universities and colleges.

After the declaration of the CUET result, all the colleges or universities will release the course-wise passing marks or CUET UG cutoff, which will be used for shortlisting candidates for admission to PG courses.

The CUET PG 2024 score is evaluated based on the CUET PG 2024 examination marking scheme. CUET PG 2024 results are likely to be released by NTA (examination conducting body) in the third week of April. CUET PG 2024 Results will be compiled based on the corrections made in the provisional answer key (also called CUET PG Final answer key). According to the CUET PG 2024 exam pattern, the candidates must remember the following marking scheme while calculating CUET PG 2024 score:

The marking scheme of the CUET PG 2024 exam is as follows:

• Each question carries four marks.

• For each correct response, candidates will get four marks.

• For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the total score.

• Unanswered/un-attempted answers will be given no marks.

Steps to Calculate the CUET PG Score

Below are the steps to use for calculating the CUET PG 2024 scores:

• Step 1: Candidates need to Log into the official portal of CUET PG 2024 and download their respective response sheet and answer key
• Step 2: Calculate the total number of questions attempted in the CUET exam.
• Step 3: Tally the correct and incorrect answer using the release answer key.
• Step 4: Use the marking scheme to calculate the raw score of the CUET PG 2024 examination.

Candidates can use the following formula to calculate teh CUET PG 2024 raw score:

(Number of correct answers x 5) - (Number of incorrect answers x 1)

The CUET PG 2024 scorecard will carry the following details:

• Candidate Name

• Roll number

• Father’s name

• Photograph and signature

• Sectional score

• Overall score

• Overall percentile

• All India Rank (AIR)

• Qualifying rank

• Qualifying marks

• Category

• Subject code

• Qualifying status

• Programme applied

The candidates who attempt the comparatively tougher examination are likely to get lower marks as compared to those who attempt the easier one. In order to overcome such a situation,
“Normalization procedure based on Percentile Score” will be used for ensuring that candidates are neither benefitted nor disadvantaged due to the difficulty level of the examination. The process of Normalization is an established practice for comparing candidate scores across multisession papers. For normalization across sections, NTA shall use the percentile equivalence.

CUET PG 2024 Percentile Scores

Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all those who appear for the examination. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees. The Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW that particular Percentile in that examination. Therefore the topper (highest score) of each session will get the same Percentile of 100 which is desirable. 

The Percentile score will be the Normalized Score for the examination (instead of the raw marks of the candidate) and shall be used for the preparation of the merit lists.

Step By Step Procedure for Normalization And Preparation of Result:

Step-1: Distribution of Examinees in two shifts:
Candidates have to be distributed into two sessions randomly so that each session has an approximately equal number of candidates. These two sessions would be as follows:
Session-1: Day-1 Shift-1, Session-2: Day-1 Shift-2
In the event of a more number of days or less number of shifts, the candidates will be divided accordingly. This will ensure that there is no bias in the distribution of candidates who shall take the examination. Further, with a large population of examinees spread over the entire country the possibility of such bias becomes remote. 

Step-2: Preparation of Results for each Session:
The examination results for each session would be prepared in the form of

• Raw Scores
• Percentiles Scores of Total raw scores.
  The Percentiles would be calculated for each candidate in the Session as follows:
  Let TP1 be the Percentile Score of Total Raw Score of that candidate. 

Step-3: Compilation of NTA score and Preparation of Result:
The Percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all the sessions (Session-1: Day-1 Shift-1, Session-2: Day1 Shift-2) as calculated in Step-2 above would be merged and shall be called the NTA scores which will then be used for the compilation of results and further processing for deciding the allocation.

The result for CUET PG - 2024 will be processed based on the Final Answer Keys. No grievance with regard to Answer Keys after the Declaration of Result of CUET (PG) - 2024 will be entertained. The marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of CUET PG 2024. There shall be no re-evaluation/re-checking of the result. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. No Score Card will be dispatched to the candidates and the candidates are advised to download their Score Cards for CUET (PG) - 2024 from the official website.

After the declaration of the CUET PG result 2024, qualifying candidates will have to appear for the CUET PG 2024 counselling rounds which will be conducted separately at each participating university. Candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process of only those universities which they had opted for while filling up the application form.

They also have to register for the counselling process of the universities separately and fill the choice of courses or affiliated colleges, whichever is applicable. Based on the eligibility and document verification, candidates will be allotted seats.

The participating universities will release the CUET PG merit list 2023 separately, based on the scores sent to them by NTA. The merit list will carry the list of qualifying candidates in terms of their ranks who would meet the eligibility and admission criteria of the universities.

CUET PG 2024 cut off marks, points or percentage are the minimum set of marks that a CUET PG candidate needs to score in order to get qualified/ enrolled for a particular seat in one of the participating universities of the CUET PG 2024 examination. 

The participating universities and institutes will release the cutoff marks for CUET PG 2024 based on various factors. The CUET PG cutoff will vary for each university and course. The cutoff marks or percentiles refer to the minimum score one has to obtain or secure in order to be eligible for the admission process.

The CUET PG 2024 Counselling process for the academic session 2024-20224 will be started by the participating universities later after the declaration of the CUET PG 2024 Results. CCUET PG 2024 counselling process is expected to start to in the fourth week of July. The academic session 2024-2024 will start later in the last week of August. It is expected for this year's counselling process that there will not be any combined counselling process.
