The ICAR AIEEA 2024 Seat Allotment for the university PG program mop-up round started on November 4, 2024, and the end date for the seat allotment process was November 11, 2024. Therefore, students should complete their seat allotment process before the last date. 

ICAR AIEEA Online Counselling for Round 3 started on October 14, 2024. The revised schedule for online counselling was disclosed on the official site for candidates who wish to pursue Postgraduate courses in Agriculture and Allied Sciences for the academic session 2024-2025. The end date to deposit the seat acceptance fee was October 17, 2024.

For students who wish to study in the master's degree programme in Agriculture and Allied Sciences for the academic session 2024-2025, the end date to accept seats and submit the fee was October 10, 2024, for round 2 of the online counselling process. The ICAR 2024 Result was declared on August 13, 2024. Students must fill in their details i.e. application number and date of birth on the official site to get access to the ICAR AIEEA 2024 Scorecard PDF. The exam conducting authority will release the schedule of the multiple rounds of the counselling process of the ICAR AIEEA PG exam in online mode only.

ICAR PG counselling process is subdivided into seven substages, starting from the start of online seat allotment, downloading online documents, document verification, re-submission of documents by candidates, seat acceptance fee deposition and fee reconciliation and online reporting by the universities. ICAR AIEEA PG 2024 counselling process will be conducted in four rounds of online rounds followed by one mop-up/ final round.

For the Academic Session 2024-25, admissions to 20% seats (100% seats at ICAR-NDRI, Karnal, IARI NewDelhi, RLBCAU, Jhansi and Dr RPCAU, Pusa) in Master’s degree programmes will be granted in 70 Agricultural Universities under the ICAR-AU system. Candidates declared eligible for counselling, based on information provided by the candidates at the time of registration for counselling, will be considered for allocation of course and AU as per ICAR’s Online Counselling procedure. Read in detail to know more about ICAR AIEEA PG counselling dates, seat allotment and document verification process.

ICAR AIEEA PG 2024 Counselling Process

Students who get selected for registration and choice filling for ICAR AIEEA Counselling will only be eligible for the allocation of subjects and the Agricultural University. Also, students who did not qualify for the ICAR AIEEA (PG) are not eligible for admission through ICAR in any Master's degree programme. ICAR AIEEA 2024 Exam for postgraduation courses was conducted in 89 cities across India for students who want to pursue Master's courses in Agriculture Univeristy in various disciplines such as Horticulture, Animal Science, Agriculture Engineering, Veterinary, and Forestry.

ICAR AIEEA counselling process includes the following steps:

Step 1: Registration

As the first step, candidates need to register themselves on the official website of ICAR. Once successfully registered, candidates will be able to log in to the online counselling portal of the exam by using their login ID and password. The registration fee (non-refundable) for ICAR AIEEA 2023 counselling is INR 500. Candidates can pay the registration fee in online mode through the payment gateway of ICAR by using credit card/ debit card/ net banking.   

Only the eligible candidate will be able to log on to online counselling portal by using the logincredentialsprovided to him/her through SMS/E-mail. He/she will be able to access the website fromany place of his/herconvenience like home/college/office, etc. If the candidate does not remember his/her login IDandpassword, then the login ID/password will be recoverable by input of some personal parameters.

The personal details and academic credentials provided by the candidates at the time of submittingtheapplication form on NTA website will be treated as final for declaring the scores and generating themeritrank. At the time of registration for online counselling, candidates may be asked to check and give the correctname of the college/University from which they acquired the degree.

Step 2: Choice Filling

Once registered, candidates need to log in to the AIEEA counselling portal and make their choice for courses/ universities in which they want to secure admission. It may be noted that only those courses and universities will be displayed on the portal whose eligibility requirements are met by the candidate. Once the choice selection is completed, candidates need to save their choices. It may be noted that candidates can update their choices any number of times on the portal before the last date/ choices are locked by candidates. If the choices are not locked by candidates, their last saved choices will be automatically locked by the system. 

Only those programmes shall be displayed whose eligibility qualifications are filled by the candidate. Similarly, list of only those Universities will be displayed where the programme desired by the candidateisoffered. The locked choices shall be processed according to merit and available seats on a scheduled date for theallotment of seats. The candidates will be intimated through e-mail/SMS about the University/InstituteandCourse allotted. The list of allotted candidates will be updated in the relevant database.

Choice Updation

Candidate can update his/her choices any number of times before the last date/until the choices are lockedby the candidate. On the last day of choice filling his/her last saved choices will be automatically lockedandthe same list will be considered for further counselling process. The registered candidates who do not fill anychoice or fail to save them by closing time of the last day of choice filling will not be consideredfor seatallotment and admission.

Step 3: Online Uploading of Documents

The eligible candidates who have been allotted any seat (subject to document verification and payment ofSeat Acceptance Fee) will be intimated through E-mail and SMS about the allotted courseandUniversity/Institute and they will be able to download the Allotment Letter from the portal.

The candidate is not required to physically report at the admitting University/Institute during anyroundofcounselling.

If the original certificates are not in English language, English translation of such certificates, dulycertifiedby the Principal/Director or other competent authority of the institution last attended, will be requiredtobeuploaded by the candidates.

Documents in support of Category and PwBD status should have complete required details, clearlyvisibleseal, sign, date, place of issue and should be latest as per the requirement.

Step 4: Verification of Documents

Candidates allotted seats can then download their provisional admission letter from the counselling portal. Thereafter, they need to mandatorily report at the allotted university along with all the prescribed documents. The university will verify all the documents and thereafter will issue a final admission letter to candidates. 

In case of a doubt regarding the documents, the Document Verifying Officer of the allottedUniversity/Institute will raise a query to the candidate, against which, the candidate can respondthroughher/his login. This interaction between the Document Verifying Officer and the candidate canoccur only once.

The time permitted for re-submitting the document will be till 12:00 Noon of next calendar date (fromthedate of demand). The candidate is, therefore, advised to be vigilant about re-submission of documents.

Step 5: Deposition of Seat Acceptance Fee

The candidate may opt for “Upgradation” after depositing the Seat Acceptance Fee. Once the uploaded documents have been found and marked “Verified” by the University/Institute , candidatewill be required to pay the non-refundable Seat Acceptance Fee of INR 10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand only) acrossthe board, irrespective of category, on the ICAR’s Counselling portal. After confirmation of receipt of SeatAcceptance Fee, the University/Institute will mark the candidate as “Provisionally Admitted”. In case of “Upgradation” of Seats, the candidates are not required to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee again.

Step 6: Issue of Provisional Admission Letter

After verification of the uploaded documents of the candidate, payment of Seat Acceptance Fee bythecandidate and reconciliation of the admission status of the candidate after completion of final reportingby the University/Institute, a Provisional Admission Letter will be issued to the admitted candidatethrough e-mail. 2. No correspondence from the candidates/guardians/parents will be entertained by the Council for seekingpermission for late registration/admission in the Universities/Instittutes or issuing any directioninthisregard to the admitting University/Institute.

 

Important AIEEA PG Counselling Documents

At the time of counselling, seats are allotted to students and they also need to submit original as well as self-attested photocopies of the documents listed below:

  • Proof of date of birth - High School/ Class 10 Certificate.
  • All Certificates and Mark sheets, grade reports in original, related to Class 10, Class 12 onwards.
  • Final year/final semester result indicating final OGPA/CGPA or final percentage of marks where grade points are not awarded. Candidates need to produce Provisional/Degree certificate of qualifying graduate examination issued by the university.
  • SC, ST and a non-creamy layer of OBC category candidates need to submit original Certificates as per Central Govt. requirements and issued by Competent Authority.
  • Medical certificate in case of Physically Challenged (PC) candidate issued by Medical Officer of any Government Hospital along with a description of the kind of disability and the degree of disability.
  • Character Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.
  • E-Admit card and counselling call/invitation letter from ICAR in original.
  • Three recent coloured passport size photographs with name and date same as the one uploaded on the application form.
  • Domicile certificate in case of candidates from States/Union Territories namely Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Goa, Lakshadweep, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura for UPS categories.
  • Authority letter/undertaking if the candidate is unable to attend the counselling personally.
  • Valid registration certificate under the IVC Act. 1984 for Veterinary graduates only.

10 Important Things to Remember for ICAR AIEEA Counselling

  1. No updation is permitted in the mop-up/ final round of counselling
  2. Candidates who scored zero or negative marks in the ICAR AIEEA entrance exam cannot participate in the mop-up/ final counselling round
  3. Candidates for PG and PhD admission, who did not fill their qualifying exam marks till the designated date at the NTA-ICAR portal and whose status of the qualifying exam is still "Appearing" are not allowed to participate in counselling
  4. Candidates who have been given admission or were denied admission on the ground of non-accreditation of their private agricultural college/university by ICAR or did not meet the prescribed eligibility requirements in the previous rounds (1-3) are not allowed to participate in the Mop-up/final round of counselling.
  5. Candidates who could not register for the first round of counselling are allowed to participate in the Mop-up/ final round of counselling by paying the prescribed registration fee of INR 400 for ICAR counselling. Such candidates are required to fill their fresh choices only for the vacant seats as displayed on the counselling portal and their previously filled choices, if any, automatically stand cancelled and will not be considered. 
  6. Candidates who registered during the first round of counselling paid the prescribed counselling registration fee but could not fill their choices are also allowed to participate in the Mopup/final round of counselling. They are, however, exempt from paying the counselling registration fee. Such candidates are required to fill their fresh choices only for the vacant seats as displayed on the counselling portal and their previously filled choices, if any, automatically stand cancelled and will not be considered. 
  7. Candidates who registered during the first round of counselling, paid the prescribed counselling registration fee, filled the choices and were allotted seats but could not report to the allotted university for admission due to any reason are also allowed to participate in the Mop-up/final round of counselling. They are, however, exempt from paying the counselling registration fee. Such candidates are required to fill their fresh choices only for the vacant seats as displayed on the counselling portal and their previously filled choices, if any, automatically stand cancelled and will not be considered. 
  8. Candidates who registered during the first round of counselling paid the prescribed counselling registration fee, filled the choices but were not allotted any of their choices till the third round of counselling is also allowed to participate in the Mop-up/final round of counselling. They are, however, exempt from paying the counselling registration fee. Such candidates are required to fill their fresh choices only for the vacant seats as displayed on the counselling portal and their previously filled choices, if any, automatically stand cancelled and will not be considered. 
  9. Candidates who graduated from private agricultural colleges/ universities not accredited by ICAR were notified, through Information Bulletins that they are not eligible to appear in the AIEEA examination. Therefore, if any of such candidates appeared in the examination and their scores were declared by NTA, are not eligible to participate in the counselling. ICAR will not be held responsible for denying admission to such ineligible candidates by any of the accredited AU under the ICAR-AU system.
  10. In case any degree from a particular college/university is not considered for admission by an Agricultural University or any particular college/university has been derecognized by VCI/UGC, or due to any court directives (present or future), ICAR will not be responsible for admitting students of that college/university in the Universities not willing to admit such candidates.

Based on the ICAR AIEEA exam conducted at the UG level, candidates can secure admission in courses like Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries, Home Science, Sericulture, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Science/ Food Technology, Biotechnology, etc. On the other hand, candidates can secure admission in 20 subject groups based on the ICAR AIEEA PG exam.

Q. When will be counselling and admit letter will be available?

A. The ICAR  All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) UG 2022  counselling schedule has been announced. ICAR AIEEA result was declared on October 1 followed by the download of Rank Card on November 26 and Counselling Letter on December 12.

Q. Who are called for ICAR AIEEA counselling?

A. The counselling for AIEEA is conducted in  online mode only. Each year, candidates who qualify for ICAR AIEEA are much larger in number as compared to the seats available for admission. All candidates who meet the below-mentioned criteria are called for ICAR AIEEA counselling:
  • General/UPS category candidates who have secured 50 per cent marks
  • SC/ST/PC category candidates who have secured 40 per cent marks

Q. How many seats are available for Admission through AIEEA (UG)-2022.

A. Number of seats available for admission through AIEEA (UG) in different disciplines at accredited Agricultural Universities for the academic session 2022-23 will be displayed on ICAR website www.icar.org.in at the time of counseling. 

Q. What are the refund rules?

A. On cancellation/withdrawal of admissions up to end of 4th round (5PM of specific date) of counselling, the entire fee collected from a student shall be refunded in full after deduction of Rs.1,000/- (Rs. One Thousand only) as processing fee. For any request for refund, thereafter, the refund policy of the admitting university
shall be applicable and no correspondence will be entertained by the Council in this regard. The refund process by the Council shall commence after the completion of admission process at the universities.

Q. How is the filling of vacant seats done after the counselling?

A. The ICAR quota seats after the final/mop-up round of online counselling, if remain vacant, shall automatically stand released to the Agricultural University concerned for filling up at their level and as per the procedure in vogue at the respective university. These seats will no more be called as ICAR seats and treated as university seats. Once the counselling/admission process is over, filling up of any subsequent vacancies created due to any reasons, shall not be then responsibility of ICAR. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained either from the universities or from any candidate.

Q. Is there any reservation for the OBC Creamy Layer category?

A. No, the reservation is available only for OBC non-creamy layer candidates only. For the creamy layer candidates of the OBC category, the admissions will be done under the General category.  

Q. I am a PwD candidate, eligible for a scribe. What relaxations am I entitled to?

A. PwD candidates with benchmark disabilities are eligible for compensatory time( Extra time) at the rate of 20 minutes for each hour of exam. They are also
eligible for a scribe if they have a limitation to writet he exam and upload a certificate to that effect from the prescribed Medical Authority. Candidates are required to indicate their status and whether they need a scribe or not in their application form while applying. NTA will provide a scribe. Candidates are not allowed to bring their own scribe. 

Q. What are the list of courses under ICAR AIEEA UG 2023?

A. There are over 3,000 seats across 10 courses which include  BScBFSc and  BTech in AgricultureHorticultureFisheriesForestrySericulture, and  Food Technology.

  • In case the Date of Birth is not mentioned in Class X Certificate, the Date of Birth (DOB) Certificate to be carried.
  • E-Admit Card, counselling call/invitation letter from ICAR in the original.

The syllabus for both exams, NEET and ICAR is the same because both classes 11 and 12 syllabus is included for these entrance exam preparation . There is only one difference and that is the exam pattern. However, with practice one should be able to crack both exams.
