The Maharashtra Agriculture Universities Examination Board (MAUEB) will conduct the state-level entrance exam known as Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research Common Entrance Test (MCAER CET) from March 14 to 16, 2020. The entrance exam is conducted for admission to post-graduation courses including Master of Science (MSc), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and, Master of Fisheries Science (MFSc) offered at the agriculture universities of the state. MCAER PG CET 2020 will be conducted in a pen-paper based test mode. Candidates have to take the entrance exam at the allotted test centres of MCAER PG CET 2020 as per the time and schedule mentioned their admit card. Know the exam pattern
Candidates should first acquaint themselves with the exam pattern of MCAER PG CET 2020 such as the subjects, exam schedule, type of questions, marking scheme and other details. Below is the paper pattern of MCAER PG CET:Â
- Exam mode- The exam will be held in a pen and paper-based test for all subjects.
- Exam duration - The total duration of each paper will be of two hours.Â
- Test medium - The questions will be asked in English language only.Â
- Type of questions - There will be questions with four choices and, candidates will have to select the correct answer.Â
- Total questions - All the papers will have a total of 200 questions based on the subject.Â
- Total marks - The total marks allotted for MCAER PG CET question paper is 200 marks
- Marking scheme - For each correct attempt, one mark will be awarded. No marks will be deducted in case of wrong attempts.Â

Know the syllabus
It is crucial for the exam appearing candidates to know about the syllabus of MCAER PG CET 2020 giving details about the topics from each subject. The paper will carry 80% questions on the syllabus of mainstream and, 20% questions on the syllabus of other subjects. The question paper for each subject will be based on the following topics:Â

MCAER PG CET 2020 Preparation Strategy
Candidates appearing for MCAER PG CET 2020 have to prepare a strategy, to begin with. This should include, a study plan, books and prep material as well as mock test papers to complete.Â
Devote time for preparation - Candidate should devote at least two hours a day (real-time test timings) to prepare for the entrance exam. A consistent preparation will help candidates score well in the examination. The question paper level of MCAER PG CET 2020 will be graduation only and, all the topics will be what candidates had studied for the past three years now. Therefore, candidates need not panic and, aim to score well in the exam with regular practice.Â
Clear concepts with help of books - Go through the syllabus pf MCAER PG CET 2020, list out the easiest topics and difficult topics as per your knowledge. For easy topics, revise once or twice and move ahead by practising mock papers on the topics. For difficult concepts, candidates need to understand the fundamentals at least as there will be objective type of questions and no negative marking in the examination. So if the candidates have sufficient knowledge around the topics asked in the examination, it will be easier to attempt. In the remaining days, candidates can prep-up by solving questions papers from the past years or relevant science entrance exams.Â
