What is MCAER PhD CET?
Maharashtra Agriculture Universities Examination Board (MAUEB) conducts an entrance exam for shortlisting candidates seeking admission to PhD courses at the participating agriculture universities. The exam is held in the paper-based test mode for all specializations for a duration of two hours. The state agriculture universities participate in the counselling process of MCAER PhD CET to shortlisted candidates on the basis of merit list. The MCAER PhD CET has been postponed due to the impact of COVID-19. A new date will be announced soon in advance.
The examination board prepares the merit list of MCAER PhD CET on the basis of the following criteria:
- 70% weightage to CET scoresÂ
- 30% weightage to qualifying degree marksÂ
MCAER PhD CET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
For admission to a specialisation of PhD course, candidates should fulfil the eligibility criteria as under:Â
- Candidates who have completed a Master degree in relevant subjects from a recognised instituteÂ
- They should have obtained 6.5 CGPA on a scale of 10 in their final result of postgraduate degree
- The examination authority further added, "The candidates should note that 4/5/6 years UG degree and 2 year PG degree with thesis work are the essential requirements for admission to PhD degree programmes in the Agricultural Universities. The candidate having passed with 3 years UG degree programme are not eligible for PhD Admission through CET-2020 (PhD)."

MCAER PhD CET 2020 Admission Process
MAUEB will be conducting the admission process of PhD CET 2020 as per the schedule below:
Step 1: Apply for MCAER CET 2020
Candidates have to visit the official website of MAUEB and, apply for PhD CET 2020. They need to register and pay the application fee of MCAER PhD CET 2020 in online mode itself.Â

Step 2: Download MCAER CET 2020 Admit Card
Candidates who register to appear for MCAER PhD CET 2020 will be issued admit cards. To download the admit card for MCAER PhD CET 2020, candidates have to visit the official website and, enter application Number and Date of Birth to log in. The admit card of MCAER PhD CET 2020 mentions details about candidates, stream and subject details, exam centre details as allotted to the candidate.Â
Step 3: Appear for MCAER PhD CET 2020
Candidates have to appear for MCAER PhD CET 2020 according to the examination schedule at the allotted test centre. The exam duration of MCAER PhD CET is two hours and, candidates should report to the test centre at least an hour before the exam timings. They should carry the admit card and, a valid photo ID proof for candidature verification.Â
Step 4: Declaration of MCAER PhD CET 2020 Result
The examination board will declare the results of PhD CET 2020 on the official website. It will be preparing a merit list according to the selection criteria i.e 70% weightage for CET and, 30% weightage for qualifying examination. The minimum cut off criteria for MCAER PhD CET 2020 is as under:

All candidates shortlisted in the merit list need to take part in the counselling rounds to secure a seat.
