Andhra University Common Entrance Test 2020 ( AUCET )

Once the conducting body releases the AUCET results, the schedule for counselling is announced. Candidates need to download their rank card from the official website of the university in order to participate in the counselling session. Aspirants who have successfully cleared the entrance exam need to appear for the counselling session as per the issued date and time. Candidates are offered seats in their respective courses offered at Andhra University and its affiliated colleges through web-based counselling.

The admission schedule will be available on the official website after the results are announced. Aspirants who score more or equal to the stated cut off list are called for the counselling process and they are required to register on the official website for counselling. To confirm admission in a college and course selected, candidates are advised to pay the admission fee within the stipulated time limit.

Conduct Certificates from the institution candidate last attended

Study Certificates issued by the Heads of the respective institutes at least seven years ending with the qualifying examination.

OR

Local Candidate Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.

Date of Birth Certificate (SSC or equivalent)

Integrated Community Certificate issued by the competent authority (applicable for SC/ST/BC candidates only).

Latest Income Certificate issued by the competent authority (valid for 4 years) or white ration card (for eligible SC/ ST/ BC/ EBC candidates claiming fee concession).

Certificate in the prescribed form in respect of a claim under special category (applicable for NCC/ NSS/ CAP/ Sports/ PH candidates only).

Migration Certificate (applicable for candidates from universities other than the university where admission is sought).

Physical Fitness Certificate from the Medical Officer, Andhra University or from a Government Assistant Civil Surgeon.

Two recent passport size photos

Two sets of attested copies of all the above certificates/ documents, and additionally three copies each of TC, Caste & Income certificates.

Q.  What happens if a candidate fails to deposit his/ her counselling fees?

A. In case, a candidate fails to deposit the requisite fee before the last date specified, they will lose the right to be considered for admission into the participating universities. 

Q. How will the AUCET Counselling be conducted?

A. AUCET counselling will be done via an online centralized system under the authority of the AUCET office. No individual participating university will hold the counselling sessions.

Q. Is there direct admission to Andhra University?

A. Direct admission on the basis of merit is done for Undergraduate (UG) courses. For Postgraduate (PG) courses, candidates have to clear AUCET and subject on fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

Q. Will waiting lists be announced after the counselling session has been done at Andhra University?

A. Waiting lists will only be announced if there are seats left vacant. According to the rank, candidates will be placed on the waiting list.

Q. Will the counselling session be done in online mode?

A. No. The candidate will have to visit the varsity to complete the counselling process on the given date and time. IF they fail to report for the counselling session, the seat will be offered to the next candidate.

Q. Is a medical certificate required for counselling?

A. Yes. Candidates are required to bring along a fitness certificate from an Assistant Civil Surgeon.

Q. How many phases of counselling will be conducted?

A. Generally there are three phases. Students will be allotted seats to the college according to the rank secured. If there are seats left vacant, another phase will be announced.

Q. Can I bring photocopies of the documents required for the counselling session?

A. No. The candidate will have to carry their original documents at the time of counselling. If original documents are not provided, the candidate will lose the right to admission.

Q. Can I pay the admission fee later?

A. The candidate has to pay the admission fee at the time of counselling to confirm their admission. The candidate might risk the chance of losing their seat on not completing the process on the given day and time.

Q. How many seats are reserved for women at the university?

A. For each course offered at the varsity, 33.33% of seats will be reserved in favour of women.
