The AUCET 2021 entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen-paper test), having 100 objective type questions. The time duration of the AUCET entrance exam will be of 90 minutes. For every question answered right, 1 mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking in the entrance exam.

AUCET exam pattern

Andhra University does not prescribe any official AUCET exam pattern. The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology, English, Physical Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences stream.

  • The AUCET entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode.
  • The time duration of the AUCET 2021 entrance exam is 90 minutes (1 hour 30 mins).
  • For every question answered right, 1 mark will be awarded.
  • There is no negative marking in the AUCET entrance exam.

AUCET Exam Day Instructions

Candidates are advised to follow the below-mentioned instructions carefully before appearing for the AUCET entrance exam.

  • Candidates are advised to reach the exam venue well before the scheduled time.
  • Candidates who reach the exam venue will not be allowed to sit for the entrance exam.
  • It is mandatory for the student to carry their admit card and a valid ID along with them to the entrance exam centre.
  • Candidates are strongly advised not to carry any electronic device along with them such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, calculators, pagers, smartwatches etc.
  • Students are also not allowed to carry ant written material inside the test centre.
  • Candidates are also advised not to mark more than one response for the same MCQ question.
  • Candidates should answer on the candidate-specific (with candidate name, Hall Ticket Number and photo) OMR ANSWER SHEET only.
  • The supervisor can take disciplinary action on candidates involved in indiscipline, malpractice, impersonation, etc., and the OMR answer sheets of such candidates will not be valued.

A. No, no candidate can leave the hall before the stipulated time.

A. No, candidates can not carry any of the calculating aids into the examination hall.

Q. If there is any mistake in the question given in the exam paper, can the teacher inspecting the paper help?

A. No, in case of any error in the question given in the test paper, the conducting body will simply award the given marks to the candidate.

Q. What will be the mode of AUCET exam?

A. The AUCET 2021 will be conducted in offline mode i.e pen and paper test. Students will have to mark their answers in the OMR sheet.

Q. How many questions will be asked for MSc Chemistry?

A. For all courses, a total of 100 questions will be asked in the question paper. The number of sections might differ for courses.

Q. Will the questions be asked in Telugu?

A. Except for the Telugu Language paper, all other courses will be asked in English.

Q. Is there any provision for negative marking in AUCET?

A. No. For the 2021-21 year, there is no negative marking. For a wrong answer, no marks will be awarded.

Q. How will I do my rough work during the exam?

A. Candidates will be provided with A4 size sheets for their rough work on asking the invigilator.

A. A total of two sections will be asked. Part I – General Awareness, Language Grammar, Mathematical Aptitude. Part II – Domain Knowledge.

Q. Can I carry a pencil box to the AUCET exam?

A. No. The candidate only has to carry a black/blue ballpoint pen. No other item will be allowed in the exam room.
