It is a good college with all the facilities.
Placements: Around 95% of students got placed in the CSE department the previous year. The highest salary package offered is 21 LPA and the average salary package is 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture. Internships are provided to students who score more than 9 CGPA. Other students have to get internships off-campus.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not good in hostel rooms so students have to use Wi-Fi through a LAN connection and router but it provides less speed. Library has good Wi-Fi connectivity. Mess and hostel facilities are good. Mess serves tasty and hygienic food items.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and professionals in their fields. The course curriculum is good. Exams are tough. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because CSE is a vast branch nowadays compared to other branches. Our college should provide knowledge of work related to the industry to students. Events and fests are conducted once a year.

One of the best college in Bihar. The average placement in ECE department.
Placements: The placements were nice, but not in core companies. Most of them were IT sector companies that too you have to work hard to get that placement which happens in BIT Mesra, and you have to run Mesra Ranchi for placements. Some core companies do come, but you have to maintain good CGPA above 8 to be eligible to sit for placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good compared to other engineering colleges of Bihar. All the facilities are available like Wi-Fi and LAN with a very good speed of 200-500 KBPS. The college campus is small, but as it is situated in the capital city, you won't feel bad. There are no problems with the electricity and water. The library is very sufficient, and you can order books which are required. Labs are nice at least in ECE and CSE. Games and sports facilities are okay.
Faculty: Sorry to say that faculty members are the worst in ECE branch. They are not at all qualified and knowledgeable, but some teachers are good like a control system subject sir and microwave subject sir. The course structure is very good, and all important subjects are covered, and exams are very nice, and not like you study one night and pass in exams. The questions are conceptual and not direct. All I can say that exam is the best part of BIT Mesra and they really force you to work hard.
Other: The extracurricular activities are always happening in the college.

The college is average with the good ambience, supportive faculty, and good teaching technique.
Placements: CSE, ECE branches get almost 100% placement, though the average package ranges from 3.5 to 4 LPA. Also, EEE branch students get up to 70% placements. The companies like Havells, Philips, Mu Sigma, Wipro Infosys, TCS, etc., visit the campus for the placements. Last year, the highest package was 14.5 LPA, which was bagged by a CSE student. We have a placement cell, which is average. Around, 20% of the students got the internship from the college.
Infrastructure: Well, the campus is small(25-acres) but well-maintained. It is located in a peaceful surrounding far from the chaos of the city but not a remote area from the city. The Wi-Fi speed in the hostel is average. We have the tennis court, basketball court, and a field for the other sports. The labs are well-equipped, and the classes are in good condition. The canteen provides the good food. The hostel rooms are good for the accommodation.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching methods are conventional but understandable. The teacher to student ratio is a bit tight but normal. There is no industry exposure. The course curriculum covers all the important topics related to the stream.
Other: We have two annual events, Jhalak is our cultural fest, and Technia is our techno-cultural fest. We have the annual athletics meet and a sports fest called Prakrida. We have the scholarship facilities for the meritorious students.

Your future will get better if you read this and take the right decision
Placements: Good not for other branches except CSE, ECE and IT. According to this year, 14 lakhs is the highest placement which was offered only to 2 students. The average placement is 3 lakhs to 4 lakhs which is not good enough for students. It is also not good according to its Mesra campus placements which have the lowest placements, better than this average placement.
Infrastructure: It is nice with the best infrastructure after the Mesra campus. Very good in cleanliness everything is well-maintained. It is designed in this way that you will get confused at the starting of your session. It happens to most of the students. A nice place existing in this college. Everything is near you.
Faculty: Faculty and course. Let's first talk about faculty members. I honestly telling you faculty is world dumb members included They don't even know how to teach and even are not interested in teaching. They also not interested in any student whether they are studying or not. The thing that only matters to them is that they will check your exam answer sheet like mad and worry about there promotion, not your future, so be careful. You have to study self to get better and take help from seniors. The course is the exact same as on the Mesra campus But the course book followed here is totally different so take knowledge from Mesra campus students of any year for books, don't go from the faculty knowledge here as they are really dumb.

BIT Patna is developing, so keep your expectations a bit low.
Placements: From what I have heard, placements are average here. Only a few academically top students are sent to the main campus, where good placement offers are provided. But from what I have heard, students from extension centres have to face biased behaviour from the placement officers.
Infrastructure: Our college is small and does not provide a grand college life. However, the campus is clean and well maintained. Although the placements provided are limited, our college still serves its purposes. I think a few more sports facilities can be provided like only students who play professionally are allowed to take part in sports activities. Students who just want to play for recreation are not provided with the equipment. The gym is good and open for all students.
Faculty: I feel faculty members are not up to the mark here. They are not able to make students feel interested in the subject. Their way of teaching is very traditional, which makes the students lose interest and hence attending classes becomes a waste of time. I think teachers need to be more interested and passionate about teaching, which I feel is the major lacking here. I think studying only to avoid backlogs defeats the purpose of doing engineering.
Other: College life seems to be a little bit monotonous. Fests or cultural events are not being held, and there is no joy in college life. Even there is no coding culture. For studying, our college is good, but for extracurricular activities, you need to take the initiative on your own as the college does not seem to provide any help.

Q:   Is it easy to get admission in Birla Institute of Technology Patna?

A:

The admission procedure to Birla Institute of Technology, Patna is fairly tough but there is stiff competition as well. For admission, the institute considers the marks of national level entrance examination such as JEE Main for B.Tech and B.Arch, GATE for M.Tech and again CAT for MBA. For undergraduate programs minimum 50 % in class 12th with PCM is compulsory. For postgraduate programs a certified bachelor’s degree in the related field with 55% and above is necessary. Passing some cutoff does not guarantee admission into the institute since the management takes into consideration factors such as entrance test results, academic achievements and interviews. A favourable academic background and high scores in entrance examination can enhance the likelihood of admission.
