CUET is the mandatory entrance exam that every candidate has to take who so ever is seeking admission in Delhi University. The entrance test cut-off along with the merit cut-off needs to be cleared as per the admission process. Hope that clears your doubt! Thanks.

Our college has the best faculty, but the infrastructure is not good.
Placements: The placements in our college are good. Many MNCs come here, like Amazon, Flipkart etc. Every year, the final year students fill forms for placements, and then tests are conducted. On that basis, interviews are conducted.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not very good. Fans don't work properly and the seats and chairs are old and broken. The doors are old and the windows too. But it's a colonial building, so it's quite pretty. We also have a building which is fully air-conditioned.
Faculty: The faculty and curriculum are good because the teachers cover every topic and teach us from pre-defined books inclusive of various ideas and knowledge. Every lecture is filled with audio activities and interactive classes. Teacher-student interaction is very great.
Other: There are no events held in our college, and you can only see protests every week in front of the college gate.

I'm satisfied with the infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Our college provides placements with many good companies like Amazon, etc. They come for the placements and also give really good packages according to the students' knowledge of the language and speaking abilities.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are always clean, and some have air-conditioning facilities in them. The library is pretty good, it has a huge number of books. Everything is clean as always, but the Wi-Fi doesn't work that well. The canteen is pretty good too, but I wish there was a bigger menu.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are always helpful, generous, and kind. They will always reach out to you and make efforts for our learning. They have made a smaller tutorial group for our better learning and understanding. Exams are not that difficult if you study well and properly for them.
Other: It's a really good course and gives you more opportunities for going abroad and getting a better job. Lots of events and fests happen in the Spanish department and you get a chance to meet different countries' ambassadors etc.

Our college is for those who study seriously.
Placements: Approximately 5% to 10% of our college's students are placed. The highest salary package is 6.5 LPA and the lowest salary package is 3 LPA. Some of the top companies that came for recruitment in our college placements are Amazon, Flipkart, and others. Almost 50% of the students in our college got placed through college placement, so it is nice.
Infrastructure: We have only one Wi-Fi facility available in our department, which does not work most of the time, and network connectivity is very poor in our college. Our college has a moderate library, but there is no air conditioning in our library. We are not provided with any sports facilities in our college.
Faculty: Exams in our college are nice. The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. We have two teachers in our first semester. Both teachers are very knowledgeable. But only one teacher speaks English. The other teacher does not speak English in class. She speaks Spanish only, so most of the students don't understand.

Our college is a good place for learning foreign languages, but I won't recommend it.
Placements: Around 80% of students get placed everywhere from our course. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Flipkart, etc. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA, with the lowest salary package being 5 LPA and the average salary package being 8 LPA. The top roles offered in my course are those of interpreter, translator, tourist guide, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is quite average. We do not have Wi-Fi on campus nor do we receive good signals on our cellphones. The classrooms are well furnished, but they lack air conditioning. Our department has a separate library specifically for foreign languages. The department doesn't offer hostel facilities, but one can apply to the common UG hostel. The canteen is below average, not having much variety or infrastructure.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are very helpful, highly qualified, and possess good teaching qualities. Some of them completed their graduation, master's, and PhD from the department itself and have been teaching here for 10+ years. The course curriculum is perfect for these students. It makes them industry-ready. Exams are not very difficult, they usually have a moderate level of questions. The pass percentage in our first semester was 100%.
Other: I chose this course as I wanted to learn a foreign language and make money out of it, i.e. get a good-paying job. The best thing about my course is that it's very easy if you learn it with dedication. Since it's being taught in a department (Department of Germanic and Romance Studies), we don't have many events or fests or any extra-curricular activities, but we do have a few events relating to the language we've chosen.

    I'm satisfied with our college.
Placements: The placement cell in our college is not that active, as told by the seniors, but we also heard that some very talented students are getting placements in multi-national companies (MNCs). For example, 6-8 students from a class of 40-50 students got placed. Others should focus on the other placements.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility available. The campus does not have Wi-Fi (not so sure), the classes are nice, and the classrooms are not air-conditioned, but it's alright, and the campus doesn't have a playground. Basically, this is not a campus; it's just a department on the North Main Campus, so the campus life is not that good compared to other colleges.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are nice and very helpful. They guide us properly, and the support from them is also very strong. The academics are semester-based, with 6 months a semester and 2 semesters in a year, for a total of 6 semesters in a 3 year period. The exams and the attendance are very strict.
Other: I have chosen DU because it is one of the finest universities in India and also because it's located in the national capital.

    Q:   Is DU admission open?

    A:

DU admission for 2025 will open soon. Currently, the applications are open for PhD programme till Dec 10, 2024. Admission in Delhi University is based on CUET-UG and CUET-PG scores. Below are the upcoming events for DU admission:

    • The CUET PG registration process 2025 for admission to PG courses is expected to begin during the last week of Dec 2024, tentatively.
    • The CUET UG registration process 2025 for admission to UG courses will commence tentatively during the last week of Feb 2025. The CUET UG 2025 exam dates will be announced soon.

Q:   Can I take admission to DU with 60% in Class 12?

    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q:   Is Delhi University good for B.Ed?

    A:
    {Source: B.Ed students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's what stands out:

    * Teaching Quality: Teachers are considered knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive. They are willing to clarify doubts and help students develop their skills.

    * Course Curriculum: The course is designed to make students industry-ready. It covers field observations, school experience programs, and practical training.

    * Placement: About 80% of students get placed easily, with salaries ranging from INR2 LPA to INR5 LPA. Some even receive offers up to INR12 LPA. Internships are also available, with around 60% of students getting selected.

    * Infrastructure: Facilities include modern classrooms, libraries, labs, and hostels. Food is available at reasonable prices (around INR5,000 per month).

    * Scholarships: Some students have received scholarships, making the programme more accessible.

    * College Life: Clubs and events are organized regularly, providing opportunities for socializing and skill-building. However, some areas may need improvement, such as cleanliness and maintenance.

In conclusion, Delhi University's Faculty of Law seems to offer a strong B.Ed program, with dedicated teachers, a relevant curriculum, and decent placement prospects. While there may be areas for improvement, overall, the university appears to provide a solid foundation for students pursuing a career in education.
