To be eligible for BTech (Lateral) course admission, aspirant must fulfil the eligibility requirements.  For BTech Lateral Entry, aspirants need to pass CUET exam and should have a three-year Engineering Diploma with a minimum of 60% aggregate.

Admission to HBTU Kanpur BTech programmes is based on merit in JEE Main. However, for the BTech Biotechnology course, the scores of CUET are accepted for selection.
