IIIT Bangalore is a premier institute for its engineering and IT programs.
Placements: Almost 100% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 65 LPA. The average salary package offered is 36.2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nvidia, Qualcomm, Apple, Microsoft, etc. Almost 100% of students got internship offers. IIITB is very good in terms of placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are among the best in our college. We have labs for almost everything related to electronics. The library has all kinds of books, from fiction to reference. The hostel is very good. We are provided with three sharing rooms with ample space. Each room has a table, a bed, and a cupboard.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified. The HOD of the ECE department is a Ph.D. holder from The University of Alabama. Other teachers are alumni of reputed universities. The course curriculum is very related and we are not taught any subject which is not needed. It is always relevant to the industry. Exams get difficult as we progress with semesters. We also grow with that. The pass percentage is very good. Students don't fail in the course.
Other: I chose this course because of the expertise of the college in the electronics field. Our college provides placement data. The best thing about this course is that we are not provided with any non-relevant information and we focus on industry-relevant subjects only. I could probably make the course a little less hectic but other than that everything is the best about our course. The main fest of our college is Infinght and it lasts 3 days. It is held in April. Our college conducts other fests such as Spandan and Umang annually. We have a Spinoff of IPL and ITB Premier Leagues held twice a year. Seniors are helpful. They are always available for any help. We are right in the center of the city. The connectivity is the best here.

Great college with nice faculty and placements. Except for the campus, which is really small.
Placements: Almost 98 to 99 percent of students got placed; the highest package for CSE was INR 65 LPA. The same is true for ECE. Average for CSE: INR 35 LPA. For ECE, it is INR 29.6 LPA. The median package for ECE is INR 23 LPA. The median package for CSE is INR 27 LPA. Top recruiters: Adobe, AMDA, HP, Oracle, Qualcomm, IBM, Mercedes-Benz, Microsoft, etc. Many students do get pre-placement offers for the Samsung Net app and Morgan Stanley Rippling
Infrastructure: There is great Wi-Fi service provided by the college. Even the mess food is good. The lab is fully functional and kept up-to-date. The hostels are really kept clean and tidy. They have staff to look after cleanliness. The food is also good for nutrition and is a balanced diet. The classrooms are well maintained. The labs also allow you to learn about real-world problems.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful. They are quite experienced. The curriculum is also to the point, perfect for industry. The exams are at a moderate level. You can approach your faculty directly in person, or you can contact them via mail. They take care that you have a better understanding of each and every topic. They also appoint seniors who did really well in that particular subject to mentor you, so you can ask them about your queries.
Other: I really think that in the future, ECE will do great. As more companies come, demand will also increase. The festivals are also good. Teach Fest does take place. I get the option to work as software develops, even if my course is ECE. I can also practice core ECE, but the college provides a flexible course selection. Either of the branch students get a few elective subjects from other courses.

Just few things about my college.
Placements: More than 90 percent of the students got internships and were placed and the average package is around 26 lacs. Some recruiters include NVIDIA, Qualcomm and many more. Few students were given the roles of basic engineers. And there is a lot of help provided to students during their placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good here. The classrooms are also very good and comfortable. The hostel rooms are of single occupation for girls and single to triple occupation for boys. The quality of the mess food is reasonable. And there is good encouragement for different kinds of sports here .
Faculty: The professors are very knowledgeable and professional here. They are highly qualified, with PhDs from top universities in their respective fields. And they are also very accessible if students want to talk to them. They help students as much as possible .

IIITB was the institute of my dreams.
Placements: Around 85% of students got placed in our course last year. The highest package offered was 30 LPA, and the average package was 22 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Apple, Amazon, Adobe, Google etc. Almost 50-60% of students got internships. Top specializations in our course theory and systems for computing and data, artificial intelligence and machine learning, networking and communication, and VLSI systems.
Infrastructure: There are many labs and classrooms on our campus. It has an electronics lab-CEEMS, HideS, robotics club, BITES etc. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. We have a huge library (big enough for all the students on campus) with a very good collection of books on all kinds of educational topics. Hostel facilities are quite good. Even if we get any problems with the facilities, the administration sorts them out quickly (this is one of the things I like so much about the college). Food quality is quite good (better than what I expected). The canteen also has some good quality food to offer. There are 2 doctors visiting the campus every week. Sports facilities are good except the football and cricket grounds (small but well-maintained).
Faculty: The teaching quality is top-class, no doubt about that. Many professors have done some serious research and know a lot about the things they teach. The course curriculum is flexible. Our curriculum is really different from other colleges. We don't have any courses which are not useful. Semester exams are quite hard but doable if you are well prepared and have knowledge about it. The pass percentage is good as all the students who join here are very good (no reservations).
Other: I did a lot of research before joining the college. Being in ECE, I can do all CSE courses too. One of the things I liked, flexibility in the curriculum. Being in open category, I know the pain of not getting selected into good colleges. But this college provides equal opportunities to all the students. Events and fests on campus are really awesome. As the strength of the entire college is not that big, it gives a feeling that everyone is like a family. There are always some sports events going on in the college.

If you are determined enough, this college is one best choice to show your talent.
Placements: Above 80% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered here is around 18 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered is around 10 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 11 LPA-12 LPA. Top recruiters for our course are Microsoft, Uber, Flipkart, Amazon and Cisco. We are still in the 4th year, about 40-50% of the students got placed in Morgan Stanley, Adobe, Matlab and many more. So, there is one year for us still to attend placements.
Infrastructure: Our college has a Wi-Fi facility and best facilities. There are great labs and classrooms. Our college has a very good basketball court, volleyball court, table tennis court and a small ground for football and cricket. There is a huge library, which is sponsored by Infosys.
Faculty: Our professors are highly educated and are graduated from highly renowned colleges like IITs and NITs. They have PhDs, and they are highly knowledgeable. They have their own teaching styles, and they always encourage new ideas to help you to work on it. They make students industry-ready. Our college offers integrated M.Tech, CSE, ECE, digital sociology and M.Tech.
Other: I got this course through my Mains marks. Our college organises very few events, but student communities try to increase the number of events.

Q:   How hard is it to get into IIIT Bangalore?

A:

Admissions at IIIT Bangalore are entrance-based. The institute selects students based on scores in national-level examinations such as JEE Main,  CAT,  MAT,  GATE,  XAT,  CMAT, etc. Candidates need to qualify JEE Main exam to get admission to Engineering courses. Cracking JEE Main is surely not an easy task and requires complete dedication towards the study. But one thing that can make the JEE Main preparation easy is to study in a planned manner with a strategy. JEE's Main question paper is divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. All three sections are equally important, and therefore, aspirants should ensure that they cover the syllabus for all three sections.

Q:   What is the minimum cutoff for Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Bangalore?

A:

IIIT Bangalore offered BTech and Integrated M.Tech courses in the form of seat alloment rounds. The IIIT Bangalore cutoff 2024 has been concluded with the release of Round 6.
