My College Experience as a fresher!!
Placements: Almost around 85% of students are placed. The average package for CSE is around 10-11 LPA, whereas for other branches it's 7-8 LPA. There are not placements like 1 Cr or 80 LPA+, but the average package is pretty decent. There are various internship opportunities as well that the college provides.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the one thing I don't like about the college. The infrastructure is very old, and even the fans do not work properly. You'll probably get a heat stroke during summers. The Engineering canteen's food is too good! You'll get what you want, and it is very affordable too.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified. Some professors might be strict, but overall the faculty is good. The newly launched self-finance courses are made keeping in mind the relevance of what is required in today's time. The semester exams are pretty easy but could be passed with good marks even if you study 1 week before exams.

Overall college is good but the infra is very poor. Seniors are also quite helpful.
Placements: Placements are quite good, the average package for CSE is 11 LPA and for other branches is 8-9LPA, around 70% students gets placed, if we exclude the students who opt for higher studies then around 95% students are placed. The highest placement in 2023-2024 was around 59 LPA in Atlassian.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not upto the mark considering it's #3 nirf ranked university, the classrooms specially for 1st year students are the worst, the fans do not work properly and the chair are also very comfortable, it's hard to sit on it for 1 period. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college and speed is also decent, Labs are good and air conditioned, Libraries are the best thing about this university, Zakir Hussain Library is the biggest library fully air conditioned and charging output available at all tables which are at the walls. Hostel is vert hard to get here, so you have to manage living outside the campus. But if you know someone like professor or employee he might secure you a hostel seat, as per my friends who are in hostels, every hostel has 3 seater rooms, food is also okayish and there is non veg 5 days a week (veg also available).
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified from IITs and foreign universities, they help you in every possible way, the teaching is also good if you want to study, otherwise is most of the lectures you can sit at the back and do other things the teacher won't force you to study.
Other: Avoid taking the self finance courses if you are getting lower NITs, the college life is not that great because fests are not good, also music is not supported much in this college.

Overall, good. The fee for self-finance is very high compared to regular.
Placements: Placement is good at Jamia Millia Islamia. Most students do get placed. The highest package last year was around 50-55 LPA, while the lowest package is generally 4-5 LPA. Companies like EXL, Infosys, Wipro, etc., are the top recruiters. However, our course was introduced just this year, but as per the course structure, it states we can go for both software and hardware engineering.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is one of the biggest problems at our college, as there are very few hostel seats available for students. Only a few students get a hostel, and accommodation is assigned based on home distance, marks, family income, etc. The facilities of the hostel are good, but a few of my friends have had some issues with the mess. Since I am from Delhi, I didn’t apply for the hostel.
Faculty: Most of the professors are helpful and knowledgeable, and many of them have degrees from foreign universities. The teaching quality is good but not excellent. The syllabus for each course is based on the New Education Policy (2020). The course also includes various non-engineering disciplines like the Constitution of India, universal human values, environmental science, and Indian traditional knowledge. There are three exams per semester, which is one of the most challenging aspects of our college; they should only be two exams per semester.
Other: I chose this course because it provides knowledge about both electrical and computer engineering, allowing you to pursue careers in both software and electrical engineering. However, the fees for the self-finance course are really high compared to regular courses, and sometimes it is not justifiable, though it is still less than private colleges. We do get new content in self-finance courses based on industry experience. There are many societies at our college, providing a wide variety of choices across different branches, and a lot of events are also held. Connectivity is good, as the Jamia Millia Islamia Metro Station is nearby. The entire campus is lush green, which is pleasant. Scholarships are limited, as the fees for regular students are already very low. Extracurricular activities like sports are also held in the MK Pataudi Sports Complex just opposite our college.
