Absolutely satisfied with the faculty and it has a good placement ratio.
Placements: About 60% to 75% of students were placed. The highest package was 12 lacs per annum, and the lowest package was 5 lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies were IndusInd Bank, the Air Force, Tata, and Daikin. At least 50% got placed at IndusInd Bank, Tata, and Mercedes. Top roles were assistant maintenance inspector or in the quality check department.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi all over campus, labs for each subject, top-notch classrooms with smart boards, and a four-level library with books from around the world. I wasn't in the hostel, so I can't comment on that, but the canteen in the college was good and cheap.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and mostly have Ph.D.s. The teaching quality was also good; they ensured that each student was supported. The course was perfectly aligned with the curriculum, and they gave us one month of industry experience through a national tour. The semester exams are manageable for students who study, and 85% of students pass.
Other: There are lots of clubs and events in the college.

Life at MIT-WPU of a Student
Placements: About 90 percent of students are placed in my course. The average package is 6 lakhs, and the highest package is 27 lakh per annum till now. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft and Tata Technologies. Internship placement is 100 percent, and 90 percent are paid, which is good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is awesome, with all the facilities like a five-star hotel. The classes have digital boards with Wi-Fi. The labs have high-speed desktops. All the facilities, including the hostel, are good. They offer all sports for the students with good turfs.
Faculty: The faculty are very good and experienced. The teaching skills are excellent. The teachers are kind and help each student. The exam pattern consists of 60 percent internal assessments and 40 percent theory exams. The rules are strict, and no one can get full marks in internals without studying.
Other: The events and fests are amazing, and they spend a lot on the activities that take place every month. The course is good.

One of the top 3 places in Pune to do mechanical engineering.
Placements: More than 70% students get placed in our course. The highest was a 52 LPA that a guy got from Mercedes Benz this year and the lowest being the 4 l LPA packages from mass recruitment companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys. 30-40% students get internship opportunities from major companies like tata, Ashoka Leyland, John Deere and gain good experience. Roles offered are mostly groundwork like on field factory work or if you perform well you could get some leadership position.
Infrastructure: Facilities are decent. The library is huge. There isn't much sports facilities in campus. In hostel you have everything, starting from gyms to swimming pools to sports complexes but in campus all we have is a basketball court. There's no wifi in campus plus the network signal is pretty poor inside campus. Food quality in campus is pretty decent with pure veg.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They'll help you personally and do a one on one also with you if need be. Course curriculum is very relevant according to the stream. You are taught software like AutoCAD which is the very basis of working in mechanical engineering. Exams are not so difficult. Just focus on what's going on in class and you're good to go. Pass percentage is 80%.

Life at MIT WPU Pune.
Placements: The placement percentage of my course is around 70%. The highest package of my course is 27 LPA, with recruiting companies like Google, Microsoft, and Infosys, etc. The highest package in the B.Tech course is 54 LPA. We get to do internships in the 4th year, but we also have the option to do internships in the 2nd and 3rd years.
Infrastructure: We have all the essential facilities that one needs as a student, such as 24/7 Wi-Fi, a mess, a canteen, and a gaming area. The food quality is not that great, and we have regular medical checkups. We have a basketball court in our hostel, as well as a snooker table and a table tennis table.
Faculty: All the teachers are very qualified and helpful in teaching the subjects. The course curriculum is very relevant and makes us industry-ready. The semester exams are at a moderate level, and almost everyone passes these exams. We have a mid-term exam and an end-term exam.
Other: I chose this course because I have always had an interest in robotics and automation. The best thing is that there will be high job demands in the future for this field. The campus is really great, with all the facilities like the sports building, cafeteria, and canteen.

Unfiltered review of MIT WPU.
Placements: Placements here are decent with the highest package offered being 44 Lacs. However, last year the average placement decreased. I think it's mostly because of high intakes of Computer Science students, it's actually more than required but the college can give you a guarantee of at least 80% placements with a median package of 5-6 lacs.
Infrastructure: We have a common building for the all first year B.Tech students but from second year we have been allotted other buildings as per our branch. The buildings are nice and new buildings are also in progress. So overall the infrastructure is going to be good but as we are in the mechanical branch which has the oldest building.
Faculty: The teachers are just like other colleges but here they support extracurricular activities. They advise you with work on different research papers. Course is curriculum related as it is based on NEP, but some subjects are not necessary, like the pace subject is not important. The college exams are moderately difficult.
Other: I think MIT has good labs for mechanical and different clubs which provide industry exposure. The crowd is from all over India. The college also gives scholarships based on JEE and MHT CET scores. The college also has a sports club.

Q:   How can I get direct admission in MIT-WPU?

A:

MIT-WPU Pune does not offer direct admission to its UG and PG courses. MIT-WPU course admissions for all courses are either done via MIT-WPU CET, which is conducted by the university itself. The university also accepts various state and national-level entrance exams such as PERA CET, JEE Main, CAT, MAT, NEET UG, etc. Those who want to get admission to any of the UG and PG courses at MIT-WPU, must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place and then appear for the respective entrance exams. For some PG courses such as MBA and MCA, the university also accepts valid scores in personal interview rounds as part of their selection process. The final seat allotment is done based on the counselling rounds.

Q:   What is the difference between CAT score and CAT percentile?

A:

CAT score is the total marks a candidate receives out of the maximum marks, calculated by subtracting the marks of incorrect answers from the marks of correct answers. For every correct answer, +3 is given to the candidates, for every incorrect -1 is deducted from the overall score. Apart from this, a candidate's rank is calculated by normalizing the scores of all candidates and placing them on a common scale based on the difficulty and attempts of the candidates. It is important to understand the difference between CAT score and CAT percentile because IIMs and all MBA colleges in India select candidates on the basis of their CAT and other MBA related exam percentiles and not score.

The CAT percentile is referred to as the rank of a candidate against the rest of the test takers. The percentile indicates the total percentage of candidates who scored less than or equal to a particular candidate in CAT.

Suppose,1,000 people take an exam and you bag the top rank, which means 999 candidates scored less than you. Then your CAT percentile will be 999/1000*100 = 99.9.

Q:   Does MIT-WPU accept MHT-CET scores?

A:

Yes, MIT-WPU accepts the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) entrance test scores for admission to a few undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For MIT-WPU BTech admission, the University accepts either JEE Main/ MHT-CET or PERA CET entrance exam scores. Apart from BTech, MIT-WPU also accepts MHT- CET for MBA and BPharm admission. Apart from that, the university also considers the score of various other state and national-level entrance exams such as PERA CET, JEE Main, CAT, MAT, NEET UG, etc., for admission of candidates to various courses from the streams of Science, Management, Humanties, etc. Click here for the detailed MHT CET application process.

Q:   Who is eligible for MIT-WPU B.Tech?

A:

For admission to a four-year B.Tech course at MIT-WPU , aspirants are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as per the university's norms. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must pass Class 12 with minimum of 50-60% aggregate. They must have studied Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and Chemistry/ Technical Vocational/ Biotechnology* as optional subjects.

For candidates belonging to differently-abled categories, backward categories and Maharashtra-state, there is a reduction of five percent. These candidates are required to obtain minimum of 45-55% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of Class 12 in the same subjects as of all.

*This subject is only required for BTech in Bioengineering course.

Actually, MIT Pune is now a private university named as MIT World Peace University so getting admission there is not a difficult process, you just have to go to their website and apply for the branch that you want to opt for.
