Good place to graduate in good infrastructure and culture.

Placements: If you go through the college website you will get details data but this year approximately 80% got placed. If you are little bit aware during this 4 year course you will definitely get a job. Personally I feel if someone have a Technical knowledge and minimum communication skill he surely get the job.

Satisfied with college infrastructure, placements and faculty but dissatisfied with the food.

Placements: Almost, 89 percent of my seniors were placed when I was in the first year, and now I'm in the second year, in this year, out of 90 students 70 students are placed, and the placement record was excellent. This year the highest salary was about 30 LPA and least was 3 LPA, and there is placement cell for every department over here.

NIT DURGAPUR, an institute of national importance maintains its decorum.

Placements: Placements here are quite decent. Approximately 100 companies both giant and startup come here almost for every branch. But we have to improve for BT and MME branches. Alumni network is getting stronger day by day. Average package differs from department to department and it's around 6-7lpa. People from CSE are even getting as huge as 27lpa.

Join NIT Durgapur without any second thought.

Placements: It is being one of the oldest NITs, our college has a good reputation in the industry. Though the placements were not that great in BT, other departments had great placements in 2015, especially CSE, with the highest package of 25 LPA. TCS and IBM are the mass recruiters while Amazon offering the highest package. Other eminent recruiters included Snapdeal, Microsoft, Google, Mu Sigma, etc.

Satisfied regarding placements and environment but not with hostel food.

Placements: The placements are good. The placements are getting better year by year. The placements are nearly 80% this year. So no need to worry about placements. Many companies like IBM, Amazon etc., visit during placements. The students of EE, CSE, and IT bag the highest packages. The average package is of 7 LPA.

Just satisfied as it is a very old college, facilities are not that good and mess food is the worst.

Placements: The placements are good, and the placements offered in my department are also good. Overall, the placement percentage is nearly about 80, and when it comes to my department, it is nearly 90%. Even your luck should favor you during placements. I have seen some of my seniors who have low CGPA, getting placed with a high package and vice-versa.

There are good placements. Very much satisfied with faculty, and food needs a lot of improvement.

Placements: The placements are good for CS / IT branches. For core branches, it is somewhat okay with an approximately 60-70% getting placed. Many companies come for the recruitment to our college and the package for non-core branches is around 7-8 LPA, and for core branches it lies somewhere between 5-6 LPA.

Obviously, one can tell that NIT Durgapur is the best, but no enjoyment in the college only studies.

Placements: In my final year, i.e. 2017, the placements were nice compared to the previous year. The campus is trying hard to take most companies into the college including PSUs such as IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, etc.. The highest package offered is 42 LPA by D.E.Shaw. Being in electrical engineering branch, I have placed in BPCL with a package of 17.2 LPA.

Satisfied with the faculty, placement and fairly good infrastructure.

Placements: Here, the placements are good. Many reputed companies visit the campus both from the core as well as from the software. The companies like Volvo, Tata Motors, BPCL, IOCL, and much more from the core. The software companies like Microsoft, Amazon, etc., and some from software visit the campus for the placements. The package they provide is around 5 to 17 LPA for the core and 10 to 27 LPA for the software.

Placements: Placement of NIT, Durgapur is very much satisfactory in computer science and engineering department. Every year, 80% students get placed. Rest of the 20% students don't sit for campusing. They opt for higher studies. It is like a trend in NIT, Durgapur that some of the students always go for higher studies. The private sector key companies are Amazon, Microsoft, De Shaw, JP Morgan Chase, Endurance, Direct and Factset. Microsoft, De Shaw and Amazon offered the highest package in this year, as wel...

The college is developing in terms of its placements and infrastructure.

Placements: The year 2018, I witnessed a very good placement session with the support of an efficient placement team. The highest placement has been in the mechanical department with giants like Tata, Bajaj, Ashok Leyland, Hero, IOCL, BPCL, L&T power, L&T ECC picking most of the students. Financial giants like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs were some of the prominent recruiters.

A place where you develop your inter personal skills, enjoy, and make friends.

Placements: The placements are really good this year when compared to the previous year for some department. They reached up to 80%, and the rest is up to 50-60%. We hope it goes on developing in the next coming years. We have many companies yet to come like BPCL, HPCL, etc., so this year's average may reach up to 75%.

The college is overall very good. There are some fields where they need to improve.

Placements: For the academic year of 2017-18, about 90 companies have already visited this campus. For the department of mechanical engineering, the number of companies is about 35. The average package offered is about 5.5-6 LPA. However, we also had PSUs who offered compensation of 16-17 LPA. The placement season was much rosy in comparison to last year. For internship too, the number of companies has significantly increased. Some companies for internship were Hero, Suez, PwC and many more.
