It provides good buildings and a playground. The seniors are very supportive and helpful.
Placements: As our branch has good process and engineering, it may be sound that not good but this also a good branch. Around 80-85% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA. Nestle came as the recruiter last year. Almost all the students get internships opportunities. Even some seniors from our branch have also gone to foreign to complete or do their higher studies in the best universities offering masters and Ph.D. in food process engineering.
Infrastructure: It provides internet to all the students. The internet is slow here but students can use it well. The quality of food is good as told by our seniors. Some of the stalls and coffee houses are open 24X7. All the facilities are provided. Students have a dispensary, a big ground for playing, and it also conduct an annual sports fest every year.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Even after conducting online classes in Microsoft teams, the teachers clear the doubts of every student. All are from IITs and NITs. They will be taught according to industry. The course is very relevant. Everything starts from the basics, and I did not face any kind of problem. Teachers are very helpful and give questions according to the topics they teach students.
Other: I opted for this course because I have no interest in circuital branches. The best thing about this course is that all the professors who will teach students have completed their PhDs from foreign universities. Students are fewer in this branch but professors are very good and do not let feel that the branch that students are in is not a good branch. Students do have an annual technical, cultural, and sports fest. The names are Innovision, Nitrutsav, and Vriddhi respectively, students do have more than 80 clubs in our institute. The campus is very beautiful and it is built on over 500 acres of land. The institute and also some other parties give scholarships to the students to study.

NIT Rourkela: High end infrastructure but lacks location.
Placements: Almost 90 percent students get placed and rest 10 percent going for higher studies. The average package offered was 6.5 lpa while the highest package was 10 lpa. Top recruiting companies were from analytics sector and few for software developer profile. Internship from our branch is in dairy processing sector and in coding sector.
Infrastructure: The food process department building is quite new and has all state of the art facilities like lifts, cctvs, well-equipped labs with high end modern equipment. Wi-Fi is available in both department as well as in hostels. Library is very good with high-speed internet and lawn. Hostels are clean and safe. Mess food is good with canteen in each hostel.
Faculty: Professors are very helpful and qualified and most of them have foreign doctorate degree. Teaching quality is just average. The course curriculum is quite point to point and justified for the branch. But these curriculum lacks in industrial exposure. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty and pass percentage is 90%. .
Other: I chose this course because of my JEE rank and because of the NIT Rourkela ranking. Best things about my course is modern course structure and top notch foreign opportunities. Campus life is very happening with full of events, seminar, fests, and extra curricular activities.

You will have a promising college life with all reasonable facilities.
Placements: Around 80%-90% of the students get placed until the end of the placement season. The highest salary package offered in our branch in the last year was 12 LPA, and it was provided by Future First company. The average salary package offered was around 5 LPA-6 LPA. The lowest salary package was offered by core food processing companies, and it was around 3 LPA-4 LPA. Students can attend placements in almost all companies which visit here for all profiles, but the number of core companies which visit here is very less. Some past recruiters are ITC, Milk Mantra, Ninja Cart, spices companies, etc. Students get internships mainly through their contacts. Top roles offered here are a graduate trainee, data scientist, quality control executive, software engineer (only this role is get by about 70% of the students), etc.
Infrastructure: Ethernet cables are provided with unlimited usage. The local network is available inside the campus, where students and professors share good content related to lectures or movies, games, etc. Labs of the food process engineering branch are good with many instruments but need enhancement in spaces and new room and technologies. The library is awesome, and free Wi-Fi is available. You can study throughout the day in the library from morning until 9 pm. Classrooms and the infrastructure of the campus are the best things in NITR. There are lots of greenery and spaces around to hang out. Medical facilities are available. The food served by the mess is good only in selected hostels.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, but there are always some exceptions. However, they are knowledgeable, but only a few of them try to innovate their methods of teaching. The rest of the teachers just follow PPT methods. In our branch, HOD sir is really very helpful and responsible. He always available whenever needed. Some professors behave like friends with you. The course curriculum is relevant and industry-oriented as the branch is very new.
Other: I have chosen this course based on my rank in JEE. The best thing about this course is the scope of food processing in the coming future with this fast-developing society. Many agricultural problems can be sorted out with processing applications. I think they should add practical entrepreneurship teaching rather than theoretical, which we study for exams. The food sector needs innovation, and new batches' students should be prepared for taking challenges and risks. Industry visits and training should be provided. Placements should be improved for core branches. In terms of extracurricular activities, I think any other college can be compared with NITR. There are more than 70 clubs with a lot of things to learn from every aspect. The campus crowd is good due to the many courses provided here. Many scholarships are provided for financially poor students. Technical, cultural and sports fests are organised by us with the help of the student activity centre. Events are regularly organised by various clubs. Overall, you can live your college life to the best.

NIT Rourkela review (Infrastructures, faculty, course curriculum, placement etc.).
Placements: Yes, from my batch 15 got placed till 24/3/2018 from 19 interested people for placement out of total 23. And from my sinior batch 8 got placed from 12 interested people for placement out of total 19. Rest were interested in higher education. Placement cell of our college is very good always try to help students to get a job. If you are once in this college, there's 90 percent chance that you will get placed. The rest 10 percent don't get placement because of carelessness about placement and not doing preparation well.
Infrastructure: Infrastructures of NIT Rourkela is very good. You will fill any kind of deprivation here. Currently the college is one of the best colleges in India for higher studies. Lab facility is very good. You can work on any project of your own if you want. Every department will help you. Professor are highly qualified. 24 hour electricity in academic area and hostel area as well. In the contrast of infrastructure, I feel it's one of the top colleges in India. You can search about it in detail on internet.
Faculty: Each and every faculty members are very qualified. Most of them studied from world top universities so the have good knowledge. And they give you liberty to ask questions in the classroom. All the professor who taught me was great Human being also. As I come from hindi medium they helped me to understand everything after class by giving extra time. Earlier the coursr curriculum was very wide around 230-240 credit course, a B.Tech Student had to study but now from 2017-18 it is reduced to 150-160. Earlier there was to much unnecessary course but not all unnecessary course are removed.
Other: For each every hobbies, interests, you will find event in a fest and also a club which is run by students and professors. All are free. Rourkela is one of the safe city to live in. If I talk about connectivity, there's no public airport, only train facility. Nearby airport is Ranchi airport. Personally I would recommend you to take admission here.

It consist of good infrastructure, satisfied facilities, good placements, and much more.
Placements: At the starting of this branch in NITRKL, the very first batch faces many problems regarding the placements but as the time goes on the food companies started visiting our campus and now many of the seniors had placed in Milk Mantra, MTR, etc. Getting LPA of above 3.25.
Infrastructure: The campus is beautiful. It is full of greenery environment with 1200-acres of campus quite a large quantity. Consists of two basketball court, two tennis court, one swimming pool, one stadium (Dilip Trikey stadium), one cricket ground, etc. Also, for the first years classes, one building is there named as lecture avenue. Its structure is the most beautiful attraction of all.
Faculty: The teachers are good in their specialisation. They interact with the students such that to spread their knowledge. Also, the academic curriculum consists of a credit course, i.e. if one theory course is consist of 4 credits such that it consists of 3 theory classes taken by the teacher and 1 class will be by his TA.
Other: The administrative provides the separate building for the extracurricular activities, i.e. SAC (student activity centre) which organises the two fests Innovision - technical fest and Nitrutsav - cultural fest.
